Had a wonderful day with Cathy!

Cathy was an excellent guide! We did a private tour to the Terracotta Army + Wild Goose Pagoda. It’s very tailored towards your interest and how long you would like to stay. A totally unexpected but delightful surprise was getting to meet one of the farmers that discovered the terracotta warriors! Cathy was also SUPER helpful the next day with plenty of suggestions for food, activities based on where we were, and performance show times/locations at Datang Everbright. We felt so welcome in Xi’an!

    Excellent Tour Agent in Xian

I found Lily through Viator as she had a Badge of Excellence Following that, I contact her to customise my tour based on my own needs Not only did Lily respond quickly to my enquiries, she also provided me with lots of information to help me finalise my itinerary Two days before the tour, Lily setup a groupchat with myself and the guide on the day, Jackie. I appreciated this as this put me at ease and gave me a point of contact in case there were last minute unforeseen scenarios On the day itself, Jackie and the drive turned up ahead of time. The vehicle provided was not only clean, but spaciously accommodated my group of 6 adults Jackie was an excellent guide and brought us to a nice local place for lunch; which was delicious and reasonably priced. He also ensured that the tour was paced well and routed in the best way possible to maximise time at site without too much waiting Overall, if you have customised needs for your tours in Xian, I highly recommend Lily's Private Tours

Terracotta Warriors +Camel Bell show + making Terracotta Warriors

Michael is an excellent guide: friendly, knowledgeable and organised! My interactions with Lily from the head office were polite and efficient. Michael also took us to a local restaurant with delicious food (the thrice cooked chicken is a must!). The Camel Bell show is very entertaining— there are English subtitles. Our children loved the music, special effects, live camels, and wolves (huskies). Overall, it was a fun and memorable day!

Amazing day trip to the Terracotta Warriors

We wanted a private tour to see the Terracotta Army and Hanyangling Museum. What we got was an excellent day led by Micheal Chang and his driver. Micheal was so knowledgeable and could answer all our questions on the way to the Terracotta Army. At the Terracoota Warriors Museum he navigated us through the crowds and provided us with lots of interesting informations. Before going to Jingdi’s tomb, Michael took us out to a very good local restaurant. The food was amazing! We definitely had an amazing day that met all our expectations. We can highly recommend Micheal and his tour. Thank you so much, Micheal.

    Great day with Jackie!

We spent a wonderful day with Jackie, learning about the terra-cotta Warriors and Chinese history. He was very knowledgeable about history in general, and about this particular site. He also had good insights into places for us to stop and see certain aspects of the Warriors. We went through each of the pits as well as the museum. After the tour, he joined us for lunch, which was wonderful as we got some more insight into the foods and some assistance with ordering. Jackie also had a really fun sense of humor, which we and our teen boys enjoyed. I would highly recommend to work with Jackie for your terra-cotta warrior experience. We had considered seeing the site on our own, but there is minimal information in English and we would’ve missed out on a lot of the meaning of what we were seeing.

Customizable Private Terracotta Army Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Xian.

How much does Customizable Private Terracotta Army Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Xian usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Customizable Private Terracotta Army Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Xian is not rushed.

Is Customizable Private Terracotta Army Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 55 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Xian, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Customizable Private Terracotta Army Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Customizable Private Terracotta Army Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Customizable Private Terracotta Army Tour?

    +

Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Xian can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Xian and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Customizable Private Terracotta Army Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Xian within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Xian?

    +

On Outty we rank every Xian experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Xi'an Day Tour: Terracotta Army&Optional City Attractions, All-Inclusive Terracotta Army Tour with Premium Buffet Lunch, 2-Day Customized Warriors Tours & Xian Top Attractions. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Xian?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Xian?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
