    Beautiful Relaxing Day

We had a great day exploring the east side of the island. Fernando was such a nice and knowledgeable guide. His love for Cozumel comes through in all his informative conversations. He let us determine how we wanted to spend our time. We saw beautiful natural beaches, had authentic Mexican food and spent some time snorkeling at chankanaab. It was a great day. We will definitely do this again and see some different sights.

Jeep Tour - Cave and Ruins Exploration

I will start with the good: Fernando was an amazing guide. He is a fourth generation local that really knows the island. He was very engaging and really desired to get to know us and our extended family. He was very knowledgeable about the caves and the Myan history and also took us to a nice beach, Tequilla tour, and back for a nice lunch along the ocean. I was looking for a pair of boots and stopped at several locations and even offered to negotiate on my behalf had we found the pair I was seeking. Now for the bad, this tour company rents the Jeeps that they use for the tour and the one they rented was in very bad condition with all the dash lights on, rubbing on turns, cracked and worn-out seats, with a 8x10 rental license taped to the front windshield right where the passenger was to look out. I had to spend the entire time leaning over to the center to see anything. BUT THAT WAS NOT THE WORST...the entire inside of the jeep was covered with mold (the fuzzy type). Serious concern for our health. Fernando tried to get it changes out while we were on the Tequilla tour but was told by the owner there wasn't enough time to make that happen. I did let the owner know how disappointed we were and did not receive a response. I purposely waited until we returned to write this review hoping that he would contact us. This is total unacceptable.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Day with Fernando!

Fernando was the perfect guide for my fiancée and I on our private jeep tour in Cozumel! He took us to a tequila distillery, several beautiful beaches on the east side, and a beach club where lunch and fajitas were included. He was professional and safe, but also knew how to have a fun time! He made the entire day fun and effortless. His local knowledge and love for Cozumel’s culture really shined through — we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Despite being to the island multiple times, he taught us numerous things! Can’t wait to come back and visit our new friend, Fernando! 🌊☀️🏝️

Custom Private Guided Cozumel Island Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.

How much does Custom Private Guided Cozumel Island Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $220 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Custom Private Guided Cozumel Island Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.

Is Custom Private Guided Cozumel Island Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Custom Private Guided Cozumel Island Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Custom Private Guided Cozumel Island Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Custom Private Guided Cozumel Island Tour?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Custom Private Guided Cozumel Island Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cozumel?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cozumel?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cozumel?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
