    Amazing Hike and Tour!

Incredible! This trip was the highlight of my trip to Oaxaca. Paul was very friendly and knowledgeable about the plants along the hike and their cultural history. I'm a birder and while Paul was only somewhat knowledgeable about the birds in the area, he was very accommodating and helpful in trying to find birds. We even found a Red Warbler which was my personal goal during the hike!

    Excellent excursion

The excursion in the mountains exceeded our expectations. Paul is very knowledgeable about the plants of the region and we could see some mushrooms despite not being the main season. The views were amazing and in the end even gave us time to use the zip line. I highly recommend it

Incredible experience, Sierra Norte and Cuajimoloya forest.

I had an amazing experience exploring the Sierra Norte and Cuajimoloya forest. It was an activity that I enjoyed a lot, perfect to disconnect from the routine and reconnect with nature without having to take too far away from the city. The tour is beautiful, full of landscapes that invite you to take a deep breath and enjoy the moment. I want to highlight especially Paul, our guide, who made the experience even better. He is an excellent guide: attentive, knowledgeable and passionate about what he does, what is noticeable in each explanation and in the care he has with the group. Also, the hosts were very friendly and attentive, always watching that everything flowed in the best way. It is definitely an experience that is very worth acquiring, ideal as a recreational activity, to have a good time, relax and know incredible tourist spaces in direct contact with nature. Definitely a highly recommended experience 🌿💚

    Nice day in Sierra Norte

We had a great time with Paul and Mati walking in the Sierra Norte. If you like the mountains, getting out of the heat of Oaxaca and meeting a community, is a good excursion!

    Excellent guide and wonderful setting.

Excellent guide and wonderful scenery of pine forests and other varieties of trees and plants on intensely green mountains at 3000 meters above sea level. You have to be prepared for several sections of the climbing route and a little climbing on rock.

Cuajimoloyas Private Hiking Bushwalking Oaxaca Adventure: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oaxaca City.

How much does Cuajimoloyas Private Hiking Bushwalking Oaxaca Adventure cost?

    +

Prices start at $1600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oaxaca City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cuajimoloyas Private Hiking Bushwalking Oaxaca Adventure take?

    +

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oaxaca City is not rushed.

Is Cuajimoloyas Private Hiking Bushwalking Oaxaca Adventure worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oaxaca City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cuajimoloyas Private Hiking Bushwalking Oaxaca Adventure?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cuajimoloyas Private Hiking Bushwalking Oaxaca Adventure suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cuajimoloyas Private Hiking Bushwalking Oaxaca Adventure?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oaxaca City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oaxaca City and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cuajimoloyas Private Hiking Bushwalking Oaxaca Adventure start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oaxaca City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Oaxaca City?

    +

On Outty we rank every Oaxaca City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include AUTHENTIC OAXACA CULTURAL FOOD TOUR, eat like a local., Hierve el Agua 2.5 hours, Mitla, Tule, Rugs and Mezcal for a Day, Traditional Oaxaqueña Cooking with Grandma's Recipes. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Oaxaca City?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Oaxaca City?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
