    Beautiful caves!

The great thing was we got to go into both caves. The bad thing was we were picked up by a man driving a taxi who did not give us much information about Bermuda at all. I had to constantly ask questions and many of them he could not answer. People that took the tour with the shift said their bus driver was constantly talking and giving them information. I was a little disappointed with the BUEII.

This is a scam, beware of booking through TripAdvisor.

This is a scam. The tour operator was very sketchy. We were picked up (late) by a run down car, my seat belt didn't work, the left side view mirror was missing, and the roof fabric was literally held up with about 40 some-odd push pins (not exaggerating, I unfortunately didn't notice all this until we were on the road). When we got to the caves it became apparent that this was a scam. It is essentially a taxi ride plus admission to the caves, for *$477*. For a party of three, this should be less that $150 based on taxi rates and the $25/per person admission to the caves tour (no actual tour was even provided by the booked tour operator, that was handled by the crystal cave staff, who were great). I felt so unsafe we booked an independent taxi back to our hotel. Even after I told the driver we would get our own ride back he still kept trying to push the 'soft drinks' he had mentioned providing on the way over. I seriously have no idea what could have happened had we continued on. The driver claimed to be new and just filling in. That TripAdvisor would allow this tour operator to use their system is so shocking I question whether I could ever feel safe to book anything through TripAdvisor again.

    Crystal cave experience

The caves were beautiful to see, all that sulfuric formations, really amazing, very short tour, I suggest if you rent one of the electric cars, you can drive yourself instead of paying for a ride in a taxi. There are a lot of steps there so if you have any issues with your knees, etc., I would think twice there are 85 steps down and 85 steps. Up

Just take a taxi to Crystal Caves

Absolutely go see the Crystal Caves however this “tour” is completely self guided. It is a ride to and from with ticket prices included. Several different drivers dropping us off and picking us up at each location.

Crystal Caves and Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute Admission: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Long Island.

How much does Crystal Caves and Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute Admission cost?

    +

Prices start at $159 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Long Island usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Crystal Caves and Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute Admission take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Long Island is not rushed.

Is Crystal Caves and Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute Admission worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Long Island, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Crystal Caves and Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute Admission?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Crystal Caves and Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute Admission suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Crystal Caves and Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute Admission?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Long Island can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Long Island and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Crystal Caves and Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute Admission start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Long Island within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Long Island?

    +

Long Island covers North Fork winery tours, Hamptons beach days, Gold Coast mansion visits and fishing or sailing charters, most reachable as a day trip from Manhattan. On Outty we rank every Long Island experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Transfer in Black SUV to or from JFK, LGA, EWR, Skip the Lines Reliable Comfortable and stress free Rides, Black SUV Transfer From or To JFK, LGA, EWR - All Fees Included. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Long Island?

    +

May to October, with harvest tastings peaking in September. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Long Island?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
