Rang as couldnt find the group. Rang 4 times but no reply from our guide. This is the 2nd time it has happend. Discussed
Un realible and dont answer calls. Time is always altered to be picked up which is a confusion. Had to find when ypu leave ship
Response from the operator: To avoid any confusion, we strongly recommend following the easy pickup instructions communicated to you by email and phone in advance, instead of looking for a Viator sign in unknown locations that have nothing to do with our tours. Please understand that in ports such as Barcelona, Viator works with hundreds of suppliers, and all of them use signs with their own company names, not “Viator.” As clearly stated in the meeting and pickup section of the tour description, and in the pickup instructions provided to you, the sign to look for was “J A T.” When booking with Viator in the future, we strongly recommend carefully reading and understanding the meeting point and pickup information provided in advance. Safe travels.

Barcelona disappointment
This was a small group of 7 travellers. Our driver Paco picked us up on time. I had received an email the day before to say that we would only see the Sagrada Familia from outside as they had not been able to secure tickets for the inside. This was very disappointing as it was the main reason I booked this tour. We were unable to go to Las Ramblas because of the road works. We continued on to the Cathedral but because Paco could not find anywhere to park we didn’t get to see that either! This was my first time with Viator, and although they reimbursed me £59 I would seriously think about whether I would use them again. I had a tour of the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento booked which they cancelled the day before because it was under prescribed.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words about our driver. We would like to clarify a few points: Please note that Sagrada Familia may close the museum at any time without advance notice due to security requirements. The cost of the admission fee was fully compensated. This tour does not include the Amalfi Coast or Sorrento. We kindly ask that you address any related concerns to the correct business. We appreciate your understanding and wish you safe travels ahead.

Horrible service
Missed out on many sights we were supposed to see. Never said what letter at the port to meet. All and all horrible excursion. We are Requesting for a full refund. And lost are tickets to the Famila Sagrada never got entrance to Casa Guell. Or went to see Monjuic fountain. Never saw gothic quarter just la ramble. And are $90.00 refund for not seeing the inside of the Familia Sagrada is now 85.00
Response from the operator: We regret to hear about your disappointment. Let me address the concerns raised: 1. The detailed pickup information was communicated to both your email and phone in advance. Your statement about not having Wi-Fi for three days is difficult to accept, as among 19 participants you were the only couple delayed, causing the entire group to wait until we located you inside the cruise terminal. 2. Admission to Casa Güell has never been advertised or included in this tour. 3. Access to the Sagrada Família may occasionally be restricted by the authorities without prior notice. In your case, we compensated your expenses beyond the actual cost. 4. Your refund request has been declined by Viator, as all services were provided in full and all sites listed in the itinerary were covered, including the exterior visit to the Sagrada Família. For future bookings, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the published tour itinerary and inclusions rather than personal assumptions. Safe travels.

The guide was good. We...
The guide was good. We had an overview drive around the City which included some photo stops. We also had a good walk (with comprehensive explanations) around the exterior of the Sagrada Familia, a good walking tour of the historic Gothic Quarter, saw the Barcelona Cathedral, several unique squares and some of Las Ramblas. We would be boarding a cruise ship later in the day and the tour provider was able to accommodate our luggage in the tour bus.

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cruise-Friendly Barcelona Shore Excursion from Cruise Port: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.
How much does Cruise-Friendly Barcelona Shore Excursion from Cruise Port cost?
+
Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cruise-Friendly Barcelona Shore Excursion from Cruise Port take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.
Is Cruise-Friendly Barcelona Shore Excursion from Cruise Port worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cruise-Friendly Barcelona Shore Excursion from Cruise Port?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cruise-Friendly Barcelona Shore Excursion from Cruise Port suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cruise-Friendly Barcelona Shore Excursion from Cruise Port?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cruise-Friendly Barcelona Shore Excursion from Cruise Port start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Barcelona?
+
Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Barcelona?
+
May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Barcelona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
