Perfection
All inclusive day at the beach with my family. It was a very quiet and private beach area. Food and drinks all freshly prepared. Service was very fast too.

Great place not sure if cost is worth it
Great place to swim in the beach but it seems too expensive on what you get. To be charged almost 100 usd to be on the beach and have some free drinks and some food 😏

Absolutely beautiful,...
Absolutely beautiful, staff and owner are very helpful, kind and attentive. If you are looking for a peaceful day definitely the place to visit. I purchase the all inclusive with included food and drinks 10/10. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

Do yourself a favor and pass on this false oasis.
You may want to pass on this "beach club" if you are in Cozumel. The photos are not reflective of the property - they are definitely enhanced with filters. We came for the day and deeply regretted this decision. If you do not pay for the all inclusive day pass, expect to be ignored during your stay. And when I say ignored, I mean they will not approach you regarding drink/food orders. When we received our bill for the day (two mixed drinks and three plates of food) the total was $180! When we asked to clarify, the waiter recalculated and said it was $96. Had we not questioned it, we would have paid nearly $100 more for mediocre drinks and food coupled with bad service. If you are in Cozumel, choose a different spot if you truly want a nice beach experience. This is so-called beach club is located right next door to the very loud and crowded Kuza Beach and Adventure Park which definitely takes away from the tranquil beachfront that was promised. Additionally, Playa Palancar looks like a run down version of Giligan's Island with no Skipper or Ginger in sight! The beach/sand was not soft as promised - you had to brave over large rocks before you could get to the soft part of the ocean floor. My daughter cut her feet on multiple rocks. Also a lot of debris/seaweed despite the website stating no seaweed on their beach. Do yourself a favor and pass on this falsity oasis. We sure wish we had!
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your visit to Playa Palancar. We are genuinely sorry that your experience fell so far short of your expectations, and we want to offer a sincere apology for the frustrations you encountered. Every review helps us grow, and we take your comments very seriously. We'd like to respond to each of your points with transparency and honesty. About our photos and the beach appearance: Our images are taken in real conditions without deceptive filters, though we understand that lighting, weather, and seasonality can affect how the beach looks on any given day. Regarding the sand and ocean floor, Playa Palancar is a natural beach with rocky formations typical of this area of Cozumel. However, we are very concerned about your daughter cutting her feet, and we are already reviewing our entry points to better mark the safest areas for swimming and to ensure the shoreline is as clear as possible. About seaweed and debris: As we've mentioned in other responses, during May and June we experienced unusual southeast winds that brought a significant amount of sargassum to our shores—a natural phenomenon affecting the entire Caribbean. We clean our beach daily, but we acknowledge that during peak seasons it can be challenging to keep it pristine. We want to assure you that conditions have now returned to normal, with clear waters and clean sand. We regret that your visit coincided with that difficult period. About service and being ignored: We are very troubled to hear that you felt ignored because you did not purchase the all-inclusive day pass. Our policy is to provide warm, attentive service to every guest, regardless of their consumption type. We will investigate internally why our staff did not approach you proactively, as this is not the standard we teach our team. Please accept our sincere apologies for that lack of attention. About the billing issue: We deeply appreciate you bringing the billing error to our attention. It is completely unacceptable that a guest has to question their check to receive the correct amount. We are reviewing our procedures to ensure that all waitstaff are more careful and transparent with pricing and itemized bills. Had we known, we would have corrected it immediately. We are grateful you caught the mistake. About noise from the neighboring Kuza Beach: We understand that proximity to other entertainment venues can sometimes create noise. While we have no control over our neighbors' activities, we do offer a spacious property where guests can find quieter areas. We will take your comment into consideration and improve how we guide our visitors to more tranquil spots within our club. About the overall atmosphere: We are truly sorry that the experience was not what you envisioned. Playa Palancar has been enjoyed by thousands of travelers who appreciate its natural setting and relaxed vibe. We respect your perspective, and your honest feedback helps us continue improving every single day. If you would allow us, we would like to invite you to contact us directly through our email or social media channels so we can follow up on your case personally. We would also be happy to offer you a complimentary visit in the future, under much better conditions, so we can show you that our beach and service truly reflect the quality we promise. Once again, we offer our sincerest apologies and wish you and your family all the best in your future travels. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and provide the experience you deserved from the start. Sincerely, The Playa Palancar Cozumel Beach Club Team

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cozumel Playa Palancar VIP All Inclusive Day Pass: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.
How much does Cozumel Playa Palancar VIP All Inclusive Day Pass cost?
+
Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cozumel Playa Palancar VIP All Inclusive Day Pass take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.
Is Cozumel Playa Palancar VIP All Inclusive Day Pass worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cozumel Playa Palancar VIP All Inclusive Day Pass?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cozumel Playa Palancar VIP All Inclusive Day Pass suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cozumel Playa Palancar VIP All Inclusive Day Pass?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cozumel Playa Palancar VIP All Inclusive Day Pass start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cozumel?
+
On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cozumel?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cozumel?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
