New park yet Lazy River still closed for maintenance.
We went to experience the Lazy River. When we arrived there was a large printed sign indicating that the lazy River was closed for maintenance. The rep said it would be closed for a week. We requested a refund. We will see if we get it. Why couldn’t they announce this on their website? We could’ve saved $70 in taxi fares.

The beach was pretty and clean with plenty of lounge, chairs and umbrellas. Getting into the water on the beach was difficult because of extremely soft sand and a drop off as soon as you step in. A surf was created by a riptide that may getting in and out and swimming dangerous. The riptide would pull you out further from the shore very quickly and very difficult to swim or walk back to the shore. Many people had to be helped in and out of the water due to being unable to fight the riptide. plenty of lifeguards available for a good reason. Very unsafe for children. The Mexican buffet was very limited and had to pay extra for guacamole. It was expensive and not worth it. There are better beaches in Cozumel.

Beautiful but definitely not that great.
Beautiful facility. We did the beach all inclusive experience, did not do the waterpark. It is very clean and they have a trolly to take you to the beach from reception. The beach was beautiful, with chairs just steps from the water. They did a great job of keeping it seaweed free. The “adult” section was right beside the kid section, so the kid screeching was very loud and it definitely did not seem like you were in an adult area. There is no pool included in the beach package. No Coke products, only Pepsi. Limited drink options. No Bloody Marys. Michelada was delicious. Extra $12 charge for a float. Our server had so many customers it took a bit to get drinks. We made a last minute decision to go on the snorkeling excursion there, and when we got back he’d given our chairs to someone else. RUDE. It’s farther than other resorts. Taxi was $35 each way. The included food is served in an open air restaurant, and they would not let you take food to your chairs, you had to sit in there to eat. While it was a beautiful facility, I would not return.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing such a detailed review of your experience. We're glad you found the facility beautiful and very clean, with a seaweed-free beach and chairs just steps from the water, plus the trolley service from reception. That said, we're sorry about several points you mentioned. We understand the frustration of the "adult" section being right next to the kids' section, without the atmosphere separation you expected; it's something we'll review with the area layout team. We're also taking into account the lack of a pool in the beach package, the limited drink variety (no Coke products or Bloody Marys), and the extra $12 USD charge for a float. We're especially concerned that, upon returning from the snorkeling excursion, you found your chairs had been given to someone else without notice; that kind of situation is not acceptable and represents a real failure in beach space management that needs to be corrected immediately with the relevant team. We're also sorry about the distance and taxi cost ($35 USD each way), as well as the policy requiring you to eat inside the restaurant without being able to bring food back to your chairs. We'd love to follow up on these points, especially the chairs issue, so please feel free to reach out to us via private message sup-calidad@kuzapark.com with the date of your visit. Thank you for your honesty; despite how beautiful the place is, we know there are several areas we need to correct.

Great beach, food & drinks. (Be careful with the taxis fees)
This was the best beach day we had. The beach was nice & not overcrowded. The place was clean. They had good food options & drink options. Loved this stop. My only complaint has nothing to do with the excursion itself. Just be Leery of the taxis. We agreed on $35 which was high. I was then charged $40. The taxi driver argued with me that Cozumel pesos are higher lol I let the extra $5 go but it was annoying
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! 🌊 We're thrilled to hear this was the best beach day you've had, that the beach wasn't overcrowded, and that you found good food and drink options—that combination is exactly what we aim to offer on every visit. We're truly sorry about the situation with the taxi; we understand that, even though it's not directly related to the excursion, that kind of inconsistency in charges can be annoying and affect the overall feel of the day. We appreciate you sharing it, as it helps us think about how we can better guide our visitors on local transportation ahead of their arrival. Thank you for saying you loved this stop! We hope to welcome you back again soon for more special beach days like this one. 🏖️

Great Day at Kuza
While this was a tour offered by our cruise ship, I didn't want to be bothered with the tour excursion package so I booked directly with the vendor. The cost for doing so was cheaper than the excursion. The beach was easy to get to and well maintained. Seating was comfortable and accessible. The food was OK. The eating venue's seating was under a covered structure. The temps were in the upper 90's so it was HOT even in the shade. The staff was very friendly and Daniel was an awesome server and kept us well hydrated with lots of margaritas.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing such a detailed account of your experience, including that practical decision to book directly with us. 🌊 We're glad to hear the beach was easy to reach and well maintained, and that the seating was comfortable and accessible. We also appreciate your honesty about the food, rated as "OK"; it's information we take into account as we keep improving that part of the experience. We understand that with such high temperatures, the heat may have felt intense even in the shade; it's something we constantly review to ensure the most comfort possible in the covered dining area. We love that the staff was very friendly, and especially that Daniel was an awesome server, keeping you well hydrated with plenty of margaritas—that kind of attentiveness makes all the difference on such a hot day! Thank you for your trust! We hope to welcome you back again soon for more special experiences like this one. 🏖️

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cozumel: Kuzá Escape Private Beach, Buffet & Open Bar: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.
How much does Cozumel: Kuzá Escape Private Beach, Buffet & Open Bar cost?
+
Prices start at $71 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cozumel: Kuzá Escape Private Beach, Buffet & Open Bar take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.
Is Cozumel: Kuzá Escape Private Beach, Buffet & Open Bar worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 357 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cozumel: Kuzá Escape Private Beach, Buffet & Open Bar?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cozumel: Kuzá Escape Private Beach, Buffet & Open Bar suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cozumel: Kuzá Escape Private Beach, Buffet & Open Bar?
+
Around 125 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cozumel: Kuzá Escape Private Beach, Buffet & Open Bar start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cozumel?
+
On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cozumel?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cozumel?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
