    Out of this word

This was the most fascinating experience we have ever had, Katalina was a perfect teacher. My girlfriend and I have never done scuba diving before, and to our instructor Katalina this was not even an issue . She led every step of the way and insured we had a fascinating experience. Words can not describe how amazing this was. I would strongly recommend this to anyone experienced or not. Katalina was very experienced and professional.

    Great experience

The trip exceeded my expectations. The dive master customizes the trip to your experience level. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, you will have a great time. It was a great experience and I ended up booking a second trip with them. If you are new to scuba diving, certified or not, this is who you wanna go with.

Visit the best of Cozumel with this stunning scuba experience!!

This was an AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING and beautiful scuba excursion! Lara was an exceptional instructor! She gave clear instructions, complete follow-up, constant safety supervision, and lots of local knowledge with a fun attitude! I Highly recommend this introductory scuba excursion! We completed two separate dives at two different locations along the reef area. (excursion has 1 or 2 tank/dive options. Take the 2 dives option!). This was my first scuba experience *with the caveat of having done "Snuba" once before... so I was at least familiar with breathing underwater. That does otherwise take a moment to mentally get used to. :) Lara was extremely communicative the entire time! I was unsure of the timing between the arrival of our cruise liner, availability of taxis, etc.. but she clarified everything for me ahead of time and even adjusted the meeting time to allow for potential arrival delays (not necessary in the end). I arrived on the Margaritaville at Sea Islander cruise ship into Cozumel. Our port was the SSA/International pier. Getting off the ship was very quick - I was ready to go at the time the ship was ready for disembarkation. Taxis were very numerous and readily available. I chose to walk to our meeting location at the marina (only a 25 minute walk). This was 5 minutes longer than originally planned due to construction at the original meeting point. But Lara communicated this location change earlier. I chose to walk back to the ship after the excursion too, and had over an hour and a half to spare. No Pier Runner worries! Admittedly, there were not a prevalence of taxis at the marina BUT, when I reached the main roadway there were plenty of taxi options! Several were honking at me to offer a lift (remember, I was walking). Easier to taxi there and back, obviously. The excursion itself was stunning! Words can't really explain the beauty of the undersea. We saw so many different things swimming by: Spotted Eagle Rays, moray eels, sea turtles, barracudas, sting rays, lobsters, coral and so many other colorful fish. Snorkeling, 4 wheeling, sunbathing, beaches and cenotes cannot compare to this adventure. Shopping and food tastings can be accomplished anywhere. But the Sea, she is a rare beauty and should be experienced whenever the opportunity arises.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the incredible, in-depth review! I am so glad you had such an incredible experience. You were a natural - time to come back and get certified!

    First experience diving 100/10

My first time diving and it was amazing! Everything was super!, Lara explained very clearly and patiently, her Spanish is perfect lol I loved making two tanks the first one was useful to learn and feel comfortable the second one was already a fish in the water. The places they chose were also amazing we could see many shark fish and manta ray. Without hesitation I recommend it and if I return to Cozumel I would return with Lara ;)

Response from the operator: Gracias Cecilia - me alegra que hayas disfrutado tus primeras inmersiones en el mundo del buceo y espero que te certifiques YA porque eres una sirena natural! Nos vemos la próxima :)

    Awesome snorkeling Experience

The guides were VERY informative and helpful teaching you all of the important safety precautions and techniques for being in the water. Once in the water we did a few drills before we went on an amazing underwater adventure. We saw a variety of sea life with lots of fish vegetation and vibrant colors. 10/10 would do again!

Cozumel: Discover Scuba Diving: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.

How much does Cozumel: Discover Scuba Diving cost?

    +

Prices start at $151 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cozumel: Discover Scuba Diving take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.

Is Cozumel: Discover Scuba Diving worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cozumel: Discover Scuba Diving?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cozumel: Discover Scuba Diving suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cozumel: Discover Scuba Diving?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cozumel: Discover Scuba Diving start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cozumel?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cozumel?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cozumel?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
