    Great family day in Cozumel

We had such a fun day on the catamaran with our family! The snorkeling was amazing, especially the reefs, and the water was absolutely beautiful. The open bar was a nice bonus, and the crew kept everything fun and relaxed. Definitely a great way to spend a day in Cozumel with the family!.

    Awful - 120 Passengers - NOT 30

We booked an excursion through another listing with this company and realized they have several so I am leaving another review here as I believe we were put on a different boat from what we booked or they are falsely advertising on all of their listings. This is not a "luxurious" double deck catamaran, with a MAX of 35 people per group, and a cool slide. It is similar to a ferry PACKED with 120 people and pretty far from luxurious. We checked in, rounded the corner of the dock with a massive amount of people, and got herded onto the boat. Our party of eight was packed like sardines in a booth with our life jackets on unable to move around the boat. The listing we booked said bring "water-based sunscreen". We specifically brought REEF SAFE WATER-BASED SUNSCREEN. Everyone was told to not wear any sunscreen and was shamed and told over and over by staff there was NO SUNSCREEN and if you put it on to take it off immediately. We did as we were told but watched as many on the boat continued to put on NON REEF SAFE sunscreen behind their backs. One person in our party was denied snorkeling as we were leaving the boat at the first stop because her life vest was not on properly (too many people for the staff to help with their jackets). Her kids jumped off the boat before her and she was forced to stay behind. The staff just told her "next stop" while she watched her family swim away. On the way back to the ferry dock, the “lively entertainment” was a beer chugging contest down snorkels and a pole dancing competition between mom and daughter. I felt bad for people with little children. At least we had teens that were old enough for what the "lively" entertainment was.

    An unforgettable tour

The catamaran was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. The open bar was a huge plus, with well made drinks available the whole time. Snorkeling was spectacular crystal clear water and lots of marine life. Perfect for relaxing, soaking up the sun, and connecting with nature. I would definitely do it again!

Cozumel Catamaran Tour: Snorkel at Top Reefs & Open Bar: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.

How much does Cozumel Catamaran Tour: Snorkel at Top Reefs & Open Bar cost?

    +

Prices start at $33 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cozumel Catamaran Tour: Snorkel at Top Reefs & Open Bar take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.

Is Cozumel Catamaran Tour: Snorkel at Top Reefs & Open Bar worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cozumel Catamaran Tour: Snorkel at Top Reefs & Open Bar?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cozumel Catamaran Tour: Snorkel at Top Reefs & Open Bar suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cozumel Catamaran Tour: Snorkel at Top Reefs & Open Bar?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cozumel Catamaran Tour: Snorkel at Top Reefs & Open Bar start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cozumel?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cozumel?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cozumel?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
