A bit disappointed with this tour.
ATV was fun, the cenote had many bats hanging and the water seemed dirty. I was not getting in a cenote that had bat droppings. The tour guy charged an extra $20. Cash for a sacred site that was not good at all. Also only a water was given and nothing else, they claim m to give you a beer or soda and never happened.
Response from the operator: Dear Lissette, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the ATV portion of the experience and that you had fun during the ride. We’re sorry, however, that the cenote visit did not meet your expectations. Cenotes are natural environments and part of living ecosystems, so it is possible to encounter wildlife native to these areas, including bats. We completely understand that their presence may be uncomfortable for some visitors, and we respect your decision not to enter the water if you did not feel comfortable. Regarding the additional $20 USD charge you mentioned, we would like to clarify that this amount is not part of the standard price or inclusions of the experience we offer through the platform. We’re sorry that this situation may have created a different expectation regarding what was included in your reservation, and we will review internally how this information was handled during your visit. We would also like to clarify the comment regarding the beverages. According to the published inclusions of our experience, one bottle of water is provided. Beer and soft drinks are not included in the tour. We therefore regret if you received different information at any point during the experience, as we want all of our travelers to have a clear understanding of what is included from the moment they make their reservation. We truly appreciate you bringing these points to our attention. Your feedback allows us to review our communication with our team and ensure that our travelers receive clear and consistent information before and during their experience. We’re happy to know that, despite these concerns, you enjoyed the ATV portion of the tour. We hope that on a future visit we’ll have the opportunity to provide you with an experience that fully meets your expectations. Thank you again for choosing us and for sharing your feedback.

Hidden not justified fees
The experience itself was good but for an incident before we started the trip. the day before the trip I received a message that we needed to pay extra 20$ per person for fees and that we Ould have paid in cash. If paid with credit card an additional fee would have been applied. I brought with me pesos to pay for the fee. @0 USD with current exchange rate is approximately 680 pesos. When I told the person collecting the fee that I had pesos, she charged me 760 pesos instead of 680. When I tried to explain to her that I was paying in local currency and that I should not be charged for any exchange fee, she was rude and aggressive and reply that any business can decide to apply any exchange rate. She went on saying she could apply 1 USD to 17 or 18, 19 or 20 pesos. I tried to explain to her that I was paying in local currency and there should be no exchange rate for someone paying already in local currency but she went on and on with her explanations without foundation. I was with my son, didn't want to argue and paid 760 pesos. I truly believe she pocket the money difference. The rest of the excursion was nice. Our guide was friendly and knowledgable.
Response from the operator: Dear Lara Clemente. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are glad to hear that, despite the situation you experienced before the tour, you were able to enjoy the excursion and that our guide provided you with a friendly and knowledgeable service. We are truly sorry to read about your experience regarding the additional fee and, particularly, the interaction you had with our staff member. As we explained when we followed up with you directly, we took your concerns seriously and reviewed the details of the situation with our team. We understand that your concern was not simply about the amount paid, but about having a transaction that felt clear, fair, and properly explained, as well as being treated respectfully throughout the process. We sincerely regret that this was not how you felt during that interaction. We also want to assure our future travelers that we take these situations seriously. Regardless of the amount involved or the circumstances of a payment, our guests should always receive clear information and courteous, professional treatment. We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention and giving us the opportunity to review it internally. Your feedback has helped us identify areas where we can reinforce our communication and service procedures with our team. At the same time, we are very happy to know that the rest of your excursion was enjoyable and that you had a positive experience with your guide. We will certainly share your kind comments with him. Thank you again for choosing us and for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely hope that, should you visit us again, we will have the opportunity to provide you with the smooth and positive experience we aim to offer every traveler.

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cozumel ATVs, El Cedral Ruins, Cenote Jade, and Tequila: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.
How much does Cozumel ATVs, El Cedral Ruins, Cenote Jade, and Tequila cost?
+
Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cozumel ATVs, El Cedral Ruins, Cenote Jade, and Tequila take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.
Is Cozumel ATVs, El Cedral Ruins, Cenote Jade, and Tequila worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 65 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cozumel ATVs, El Cedral Ruins, Cenote Jade, and Tequila?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cozumel ATVs, El Cedral Ruins, Cenote Jade, and Tequila suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cozumel ATVs, El Cedral Ruins, Cenote Jade, and Tequila?
+
Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cozumel ATVs, El Cedral Ruins, Cenote Jade, and Tequila start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cozumel?
+
On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cozumel?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cozumel?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
