A tour which will only run if four or more people book.

People should know that this tour will only take place if at least four people book according to the lady I spoke to from Zebra Tours on the phone. It does not run at weekends either. Sadly I was the only person booking so the tour did not take place. The company did not inform me of this until I was at the meeting point after trying to call them. Altogether this was a huge disappointment but would have been helped if I had been contacted about it before the day. I am sure that the tour would have been good had I been able to experience it.

Response from the operator: Good afternoon, Ruth. You spoke to me on the phone. My name is Carla. And as it says on the website, we only run tours with four people for reasons of cost-effectiveness, as I explained to you. Or, as has happened before, the customer pays for four tickets. You said you’d discuss it with your family, and then there would be six of you. You never said anything. You were refunded, which is the right thing to do. What does the 1-star rating refer to? Something you weren’t aware of? I’m sorry, Ruth, the company did exactly what was advertised; I spoke to you, explained the situation, and we were waiting for your reply regarding the rest of the family. I understand that you were disappointed. However, everything is in writing. And it was discussed over the phone. I’d like you to realise that, just as I said on the phone, we would have been delighted to have done this tour with you. Wishing you a peaceful journey home and a safe trip CS

    Carla our tour guide was...

Carla our tour guide was very well versed in English. She provided us with a commentary during to, at, and after at each site. She is very knowledgeable about her tours and was always answering our question. She always translated I to English if a guide was struggling. We would highly recommend Carla as your guide.

Response from the operator: On behalf of the entire Zebra Safari Tours team, we want to thank you for your recommendation! It was a pleasure to have been your driver on the Cork Secrets. Our cork oak is uniquely rich, and we could spend an entire day talking about this beautifull tree. You were one os a kind! We hope to have you back behind the wheel odf the Zebra for another tour. Kisses both of you

    Cork Secrets: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Faro.

How much does Cork Secrets cost?

    +

Prices start at $96 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Faro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cork Secrets take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Faro is not rushed.

    Is Cork Secrets worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Faro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cork Secrets?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cork Secrets suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cork Secrets?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Faro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Faro and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cork Secrets start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Faro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Faro?

    +

On Outty we rank every Faro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ria Formosa - Boat trip to the 3 Islands: Armona | Culatra Island | Lighthouse, From Faro: Benagil Cave, Marinha & Carvoeiro [Full-Day Tour], Ria Formosa Natural Park and Islands Boat Cruise from Faro. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Faro?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Faro?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
