    Brilliant fun exciting

Very good for family with young kids went with 4 kids ages ranging 9 months to 8 years old I felt safe staff were lovely pretending to be pirates the kids loved it toilet on board and a little snack and drink station. The transfer from boat to small boat was a bit intense so we decided to take it in turns to go off to see the caves as I didnt feel comfortable bring my baby on to the small boat staff were great on getting us on to the boat safely but they cannot control the waves my 5 year old son went to see the caves with me and they were very protective and transfered him safely it was a great experience all round and I would say safest way to see the beautiful coast with children or anyone who may have mobility issues or evan a child who struggles to sit still for long periods having the room to move was great and the staff were help kind funny silly and made the experience great

Best way to see the Algarve caves especially with kids.

Great experience. Crew very funny but caring and professional too. Great to have freedom to walk around a larger boat with space and different places to sit. A toilet and (small) bar all great. And then to transfer into small boats so still get into all the smaller caves with an experienced and funny boat captain.

    Breathtaking views but…..

Water was too choppy to get into the smaller boat to see the caves…not totally the crew’s fault but maybe don’t take people out on an extremely rough boat ride. The views along the coast were beautiful but that is about all that was good on this out. The sails were not up. The captain was horn happy and blasted his horn almost constantly. Between the horn honking, the “Argh! and AHOY!” being yelled over the loud speaker, it was not pleasant. It was hard to hear the information when he was speaking. We were disappointed. I would suggest something else.

    Amazing

What an amazing experience. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The pirates were fantastic. We got off the big ship onto a smaller boat to explore the caves. Dont be afraid, it's amazing. We took our own snacks and drinks on board so didn't purchase on the boat. Highly recommend.

    Great fun!!

A pirate ship with a well dressed pirate captain, complete with horn, sword and a loyal crew who helped us swap from the ship to the rowing boat (with a motor to move thing along a little) so we could explore the caves. No smuggling on our trip, just great excitement as we, and quite a few other craft, jostled to get into the caves and the very famous, Benagil cave. A fabulous way to spend a few hours seeing the coast and caves. Definitely recommend it. The boat was not packed to full capacity when we went (May 23rd) which was nice.

    How long does Cruise 2, Benagil - Morning - Caves 11:30H - 14:00H take?

    Is Cruise 2, Benagil - Morning - Caves 11:30H - 14:00H worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". What should I bring or wear?

What are the best things to do in Portimao?

    +

On Outty we rank every Portimao experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Benagil Cave Tour From Armação de Pêra, Exclusive Small Group Kayak Tour to Benagil Caves with 4K Photos, Kayak tour to Benagil Cave and guided by local native. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Portimao?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Portimao?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
