    Excellent boat & caption

With 6 of us traveliing, getting a private boat for snorkeling had high value. we could customize the trip as we desired. Captain Eric was very friendly and knowledgable about the area, and we had a wonderful time.

    Great time on the reef

Our experience with Captain Walker was great. He was very helpful and got us equipped and out to the reef quickly. We also had a small snag because we hadn't filled out our waivers, but Summer in the office got the link to us quickly so we could get those filled out.

Response from the operator: I am glad we were able to get things sorted out quickly and get you on the water! Thank you for choosing us to adventure with!

    John Pennekamp snorkel trip

This snorkel trip with Bob was incredible! There were some winds that tried to dampen our trip and Bob called and discussed the weather conditions in detail with us prior to the trip. We were supposed to get to snorkel at two different sites, but could only do one site due to the winds and associated increased waves. We did receive a refund since we could not do 2 sites. The site that we went to was absolutely awesome. We saw multiple types of fish, beautiful coral and had clear visibility! Would strongly recommend this trip with Bob!

Response from the operator: Thank you! I always strive to ensure my guests have a memorable snorkeling adventure, even when the weather isn't ideal. Capt. Bob

    Don’t miss this!

Don’t skip this opportunity to snorkel with your group. Captain Bob was welcoming, accommodating, and patient. He gave us clear instructions on safety and took us to ideal locations to see a variety of creatures and coral. The boat was clean and very comfortable. It was a great relaxing day out. Just the right amount of adventure for our family. Kids age 7 and 9.

Response from the operator: Thank you! It's great to hear about your fantastic snorkeling adventure. I always strive to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable in the water and enjoys seeing the beautiful coral and marine life. Capt. Bob

    +

Prices start at $722 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Key Largo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Coral Reef Private Snorkel tour out to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park take?

    +

Is Coral Reef Private Snorkel tour out to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 48 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Key Largo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Key Largo and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Key Largo?

    +

Key Largo is the dive and snorkel capital of the Keys: John Pennekamp reef trips, Christ of the Abyss snorkels, glass-bottom boats, sunset sails and backcountry eco tours. On Outty we rank every Key Largo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Key Largo Two Reef Snorkel Tour - All Snorkel Equipment Included!, Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys, Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Adventure in Key Largo. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Key Largo?

    +

December to May for clear water and calm seas. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Key Largo?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
