What you get

    About this experience

Explore the canals on a cozy canal tour in the silent, electric boats. Join a shared tour with space for nine people, perfect for meeting new friends while enjoying the city’s iconic sights. Ask our captain anything about Copenhagen. During the 1-hour Harbor Tour your captain shares fascinating stories and fun anecdotes. Add a soda, wine, beer, or water - available for purchase upon arrival. We start and end at Islands Brygge where the captain awaits you. Once onboard having said hello to the other passengers (no more than 9 in total), you're off to a great canal tour of Copenhagen. The boats are electric, so you'll be able to speak with each other, other passangers and the captain who is your guide as well. We prides ourselves in creating the best experiences with "hygge". Why go on a 150+ people touristy boat when you can sail silently in an electric boat with a small group together with an experienced captain who you can ask questions.

    1. Copenhagen

You'll sail through Frederiksholms Canal passing by Christiansborg (parliement) and the burnt down Børsen building. Then heading towards Nyhavn, you'll see the colorful facades and charming old boats. Right next door you'll meet Skuespilhuset, home to the Royal Danish Theatre's acting stage, which impresses with its modern design and location directly on the waterfront and Ofelia Plads. A vibrant cultural and recreational space that is used all year round for events and concerts with fantastic views over the water towards the Opera. The tour then continues towards Amalienborg Palace, where you'll get a fantastic view of the royal family's residence and the impressive Marble Church. The final part of the tour takes you through the hyggelig Christianholms Canal from where you can see the Church of Our Savior before heading back under the Circle Bridge.

Great little trip. And Marcus was great too!

We hired a boat and sailed off independently. We were served by Marcus who was so helpful in how he explained everything to us. He was friendly and professional too. We had a great time and this was a great way to see the canals of Copenhagen at your own leisure. If we return, we'd do this again.

Copenhagen Canal Tour with Electric Boat and Guide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Copenhagen.

How much does Copenhagen Canal Tour with Electric Boat and Guide cost?

    +

Prices start at $31 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Copenhagen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Copenhagen Canal Tour with Electric Boat and Guide take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Copenhagen is not rushed.

Is Copenhagen Canal Tour with Electric Boat and Guide worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Copenhagen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Copenhagen Canal Tour with Electric Boat and Guide?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Copenhagen Canal Tour with Electric Boat and Guide suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Copenhagen Canal Tour with Electric Boat and Guide?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Copenhagen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Copenhagen and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Copenhagen Canal Tour with Electric Boat and Guide start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Copenhagen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Copenhagen?

    +

On Outty we rank every Copenhagen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Social Sailing - Copenhagen Canal Tour - Captain's Favorite, Grand Day Trip around Copenhagen, Copenhagen Walking Tour: Politically Incorrect Intro. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Copenhagen?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Copenhagen?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
