Wonderful experience, Delicious Food
Luigi and his wife Camilla were excellent hosts for this cooking class . It was held in their family restaurant Salic Blu. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and very quaint. The kitchen was immaculate. We learned some secrets and intricacies of the fine art of northern Italian cuisine while enjoying the humor of an enthusiastic chef. Our meal ,which we prepared was delicious! We highly recommend this restaurant and experience to enhance your Lake Como visit!

A Memorable Cooking Experience with Chef Luigi in Lake Como – September 2023
My fiancé and I had the pleasure of taking a cooking class with Chef Luigi during our trip to Lake Como in September 2023, and we couldn’t wait any longer to share how fantastic the experience was! Although this review is long overdue, we wanted to make sure Chef Luigi received the praise he truly deserves. From the moment we walked into his restaurant, Chef Luigi made us feel right at home. His charisma and energy set the tone for the entire class, and he created a warm, fun, and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you were an experienced cook or a beginner in the kitchen, Chef Luigi made sure that everyone felt included and engaged. His teaching style was both informative and interactive, ensuring that we learned not only the techniques behind making fresh pasta but also the secrets to creating dishes that are staples of Italian cuisine. The highlight of the class was undoubtedly making our own noodles. Chef Luigi took us step by step through the process, from mixing the dough to rolling it out and shaping it into perfect strands. He was patient, approachable, and offered helpful tips throughout, which made it easy to follow along and feel confident in our abilities. The best part was getting to enjoy the fruits of our labor at the end of the class – the pasta was absolutely delicious, and we couldn’t believe we had made it ourselves! Beyond the cooking, the atmosphere Chef Luigi fostered was truly special. He made sure everyone felt comfortable, whether it was encouraging a beginner or sharing a laugh with seasoned cooks. It felt less like a class and more like a delightful experience with friends. We especially appreciated how Chef took the time to explain not just the “how,” but the “why” behind each step, giving us a deeper understanding of Italian cooking traditions. This experience was a highlight of our time in Lake Como, and we left Chef Luigi’s restaurant not only with full stomachs but with a newfound appreciation for Italian cooking. If you’re looking for a fun, interactive, and unforgettable culinary adventure, we highly recommend taking a cooking class with Chef Luigi. You’ll walk away with amazing skills, great memories, and the chance to learn from one of the best chefs in the region. Thank you, Chef Luigi, for such a memorable experience! We hope to return one day to cook with you again!

Overpriced and lacks value
Not worth the money. Chef is character that is funny at first then irritating. He gets easily distracted as he clearly views cooking class as last priority to his other commitments. Also you definitely do t experience what is outlined in class. Book another option as this is not of value. We have done many classes internationally with amazing chefs as well as local chefs. This was by far the experience we enjoyed the least.

Thank you, Luigi—so much fun and delicious! :) Learned a lot, so much fun! We loved your humor, your food and your mom! The pasta making was soooo great!

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cooking Lesson in Bellagio with famous Chef Luigi Gandola: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lake Como.
How much does Cooking Lesson in Bellagio with famous Chef Luigi Gandola cost?
+
Prices start at $280 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lake Como usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cooking Lesson in Bellagio with famous Chef Luigi Gandola take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lake Como is not rushed.
Is Cooking Lesson in Bellagio with famous Chef Luigi Gandola worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Lake Como, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cooking Lesson in Bellagio with famous Chef Luigi Gandola?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Cooking Lesson in Bellagio with famous Chef Luigi Gandola suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Cooking Lesson in Bellagio with famous Chef Luigi Gandola?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lake Como can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lake Como and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cooking Lesson in Bellagio with famous Chef Luigi Gandola start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lake Como within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lake Como?
+
On Outty we rank every Lake Como experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small-Group Lake Como & Lugano: 2 Countries in 1 Day, Boat Cruise, Como, Bellagio & Varenna: Small Group from Milan with Boat Cruise, Small-Group Lake Como: Bellagio, Varenna, Hidden Gorge & Boat. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lake Como?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lake Como?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
