Best meal in Morocco

Yassine walked us through creating the best meal we had in Morocco. The experienced started with shopping at the corner bodega to buy vegetables and fruit for the meal and returning to his home. I think we met most of his family as they came and went while we were enjoying tea and learning about Moroccan spices. We then all got busy dicing and chopping, massaging spices into the chicken, and learning Moroccan cooking techniques. The overall experience was about 4 hours. This was definitely one of the best things I did in the country during our trip and would highly recommend! Thanks, Yassine!

Best Cooking Class in all of Morroco!!!

I highly recommend this cooking class over the others because Yassine is an excellent chef and it takes place in a real morrocan home where I also learned a lot about the Morrocan culture. You won’t get that in a class at a hotel or a Riad. I had a wonderful day cooking with Yassine. He’s a very nice man and he has a wonderful family: sister, and mother. It turned out I was the only one and I was able to participate in the cooking every step of the way. We started with a trip to the local grocery shop nearby where I learned about fruits and vegetables that are not available in the United States. We went back to his home with our fresh produce where I was welcomed with mint tea along with an overview of the major spices used in Moroccan cooking. Then we began chopping peppers, onions, and garlic for the spring rolls and chicken pastilla. I learned many new techniques and enjoyed a nice lunch with Yassine and his Mom. The food was incredibly good! At the end I was given a tour of their lovely home. I highly recommend this experience tour, you won’t be disappointed.

Incredible experience and a memory we will never forget!

My family and I took Yasmine’s cooking class and it was an amazing experience. His family fully welcomed us into their home with such warmth. He explained in detail alot of the spices and ingredients we’d be cooking with which was super interesting to know. We all took turns prepping and cooking together, sharing stories, laughing, and having fun along the way. At the end, we had one of the best meals I’ve ever - each dish had so much unique flavor that I hadn’t had before. Couldn’t recommend this experience more, it’s a memory we will cherish as a family forever!

Cooking class with Yassine and family: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does Cooking class with Yassine and family cost?

+

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cooking class with Yassine and family take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is Cooking class with Yassine and family worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 54 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cooking class with Yassine and family?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cooking class with Yassine and family suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Cooking class with Yassine and family?

+

Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cooking class with Yassine and family start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
