About this experience
Enjoy a wonderful tequila tasting in Puerto Vallarta, the Jewel of the state of Jalisco, which is the tequila capital of the world. Mexican law requires that tequila be produced only in Jalisco, and limited regions in a few other states. Here, tequila has an international place of origin designation, similar to Champagne in France. For the tastings, you'll try only tequilas made from 100 percent blue agave, cultivated in Jalisco which has ideal growing conditions for the agave plant. There are many different Tasting Experiences, each with a different level of experience and expertise in mind. Decide which one is best for you and have a great time learning about the passion for this magical elixir.

Tequila and Chocolate tasting
We did the Tequila and chocolate tasting… it was awesome! The Tequilas were beautiful and the complimenting chocolate was really nice. We took our 19yr old, it made a fun family outing!
Response from the operator: A family who drinks together stays together!! Loved meeting you all! Thanks for the review!

Best Tequila Tasting in Puerto Vallarta
My wife and I just took the Vallarta Tequila Tasting with Corrina and it was amazing! Corrina is very knowledgeable about the history and science behind Tequila/Mezcal and shares her excitement with you. By far the best Tequila tasting I’ve done. I can’t wait to come later this year and do the overnight Tequila Tour.
Response from the operator: Looking forward to seeing you both again! Loved your enthusiasm. It was a pleasure!

hasta la cruz
Corina was amazing!!! Everything was well thought out and beautiful down to the plates, the cups, history, all of it was well taken of. I enjoyed learning the history. Learned a new phrase to drink tequila to - "Hasta la cruz" (until we see the cross) - you'll have to book her tastings to know why :) I adored every dish and I actually don't like ceviche but I think Corina's might be the only one I like in the entire world. Her vast knowledge definitely made every dish and sip memorable and wonderful. Please book with her if you like tequila and mezcal and a whole lot of amazing history. Definitely a spot to come back to :)
Response from the operator: It was a pleasure to host you both! Thank you so much!

A whole new perspective.
I used to think tequila was only a hard liquor that’s tasteless and people used it to get drunk with. I was so wrong!! Tequila is very sophisticated, a lot like wine and pairs so well with different foods and has a depth of flavour. Corrina explains beautifully the complexity of tequila and the time honoured traditions of how it is made. I have a new respect for tequila. Thank you Corrina.
Response from the operator: You are so welcome! I appreciate the time you took to write this review! Glad i could change your perspective on Tequila!

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Connoisseur Tequila Tasting: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.
How much does Connoisseur Tequila Tasting cost?
+
Prices start at $78 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Connoisseur Tequila Tasting take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.
Is Connoisseur Tequila Tasting worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 273 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Connoisseur Tequila Tasting?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Connoisseur Tequila Tasting suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Connoisseur Tequila Tasting?
+
Around 96 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Connoisseur Tequila Tasting start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
