Great way to do a lot in one day

My adult son and I did the tour. You could do this tour easily using Just public transportation with some careful planning. However, having a private car, pick us up and take us to each spot was really convenient. Our driver was very nice and very safety conscious. Doing both of these in one day was very helpful as we were pressed for time.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are very pleased to hear that you and your son enjoyed the tour and found the private transportation convenient and comfortable. We understand that it is possible to visit these places independently, but we are glad that our service helped make your day easier and more efficient, especially with limited time in Krakow. It is wonderful to know that your driver made you feel safe and well looked after throughout the trip. Thank you once again for your kind words and for choosing our company. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope you had a memorable stay in Krakow.

Private transfer Auschwitz and Saltmine tour, definitely worth the visit, excellent communication and our drive Jakub was lovely

We had a fantastic day at the Auschwitz and Saltmine tour. The private transfer was definitely worth the slightly higher price. Our driver Jakub arrived perfectly on time on a mercedes mini van, he was so helpful throughout the day, insightful and so mannerly. Lots of information and our full itinerary was received via WhatsApp the day before the tour. We had the option to purchase lunch bags as the day was very tightly scheduled, we chose this option and they were such good value for money and delicious! The tour guide at Auschwitz was also fantastic and made the experience. We then drove to the Salt mines, where Jakub organised our tickets and met us at the other side. We couldn't recommend this tour enough. Thanks so much Bartek and Jakub!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review. We’re truly delighted to hear that you had a fantastic experience on the Auschwitz and Salt Mine tour. It’s great to know that the private transfer exceeded your expectations and that Jakub contributed so positively to your day with his punctuality, insight, and professionalism. We’re also pleased that the pre-tour communication and lunch option added to the smoothness and comfort of your experience. Your kind words about the guides, especially at Auschwitz, and the overall organisation of the day mean a lot to us. We’ll be sure to pass on your thanks to both Bartek and Jakub – they will be thrilled to know they made such a memorable impression. Thank you again for your recommendation!

    The driver Konrad was...

The driver Konrad was friendly and courteous and the company kept us informed re pickup times and other information beforehand and during. As requested we were taken for a short meal break to a restaurant where we had a great meal. Our only issue was the red headed guide down the salt mines whose English was poor and we all found her difficult to understand. She also moved so quickly we hardly had a chance to look around. The guide around the concentration camps was informative and a natural speaker.

Response from the operator: Dear Rachel_H, We are pleased to hear about your positive experience with our driver Konrad and the timely communication provided by our team. It's great to know that the meal break and the restaurant met your expectations. Thank you for your feedback regarding the guide at the salt mine. We would like to clarify that all guides at the salt mine are provided by the museum and are not directly affiliated with our company, hence we have no control over their selection. We understand that this may have affected your experience and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. Your feedback is important to us and we will relay your concerns to the museum. We are committed to ensuring that our guests have the best possible experience and appreciate your understanding in this matter. Best regards, Welcome in Cracow team

    Great day

My partner and I had a really good, but long day. Our private chauffeur, Bartek, enabled a positive experience. Bartek was very friendly and informative. Bartek also gave us a recommendation for dinner and drove us there once the tour ended. Bartek exceeded our expectations. Having a private car really took the edge off a long and tiring day. We would 100% recommend to all family and friends. Also, the communications leading up to the event were perfect and enabled us to prepare as much as possible. Thank you.

Response from the operator: Dear Sarah_B, Your heartfelt feedback is immensely appreciated. We're delighted to know that Bartek's friendly and informative nature greatly enhanced your experience with us. Personal touches like a dinner recommendation and the additional drive there truly exemplify the exceptional service we aim to provide. It is reassuring to hear that the private chauffeur service offered the comfort needed to ease the length of the day, and that our communication prior to the tour allowed you to feel well-prepared. Thank you for your recommendation, and it brings us great joy to know we've met your expectations. We look forward to the opportunity of welcoming your family and friends in the future. Warmest regards, Welcome in Cracow team

Don’t waste your money, use public transport

We booked the tour with private transport although we realised that we’d have a shared guide in both the salt mines and Auschwitz. What we weren’t told was that we would be joining a group travelling by coach, so any benefit of having private transport was negated by having to wait at both sites for the coach to arrive which was well over an hour in Auschwitz. The guided tours themselves were good but these were standard tours by museum employees that could be booked direct. Both sites are easily accessible by public transport from Krakow so I’d save yourself some money and do that.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your review. I'm glad you decided to write it. Let's start with the delay in Auschwitz. The tour in Auschwitz had a delay because the group that was scheduled before you got delayed and had to finish their visit, which took 30 minutes longer than expected, rather than an hour. Of course, all guides are museum guides because both places require it according to the regulations, and no one can use their own guides. In the mine, this is for safety reasons because the museum is underground. In Auschwitz, it ensures a consistent experience due to the sensitive nature of the museum. Regarding the group, you traveled in a private car, while the rest of the group was in a minibus (22 people). You mentioned that you knew you would be with a group but didn't know they would be in a different vehicle. Since all groups are organized, it's the only way for them to get there. After our lengthy conversation, I see that many arguments were not mentioned because they were baseless. The situation seemed to be that you wanted a private tour with transportation at the regular price. We always stand by our customers to resolve issues, but we do not accept attempts to blackmail or demand a refund in exchange for not writing a review. I think what was left unsaid tells more, namely: - The tour was organized from start to finish. - Both guides were booked in advance (no one went with you to stand in line and pray for tickets availability). - You had a private car and an English-speaking driver. - Before the tour, you were thoroughly informed about the break situation. I'm sorry that the tour did not meet your expectations. Best regards.

Combined: Auschwitz Birkenau and Salt Mine private chauffeur from Krakow: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.

How much does Combined: Auschwitz Birkenau and Salt Mine private chauffeur from Krakow cost?

    +

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Combined: Auschwitz Birkenau and Salt Mine private chauffeur from Krakow take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.

Is Combined: Auschwitz Birkenau and Salt Mine private chauffeur from Krakow worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Combined: Auschwitz Birkenau and Salt Mine private chauffeur from Krakow?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Combined: Auschwitz Birkenau and Salt Mine private chauffeur from Krakow suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Combined: Auschwitz Birkenau and Salt Mine private chauffeur from Krakow?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Combined: Auschwitz Birkenau and Salt Mine private chauffeur from Krakow start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Krakow?

    +

On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Krakow?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Krakow?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
