Well worth the trip and money.

Our driver was amazing very accommodating with last minute pickup change. He was also very friendly and nice to talk to. Both guides from Saltmine and Aschwitz were both great. They had personality and knowledgeable. Our Aschwitz guide was very humble and thoughtful for such an emotional experence. He told stories that got most of the group watery eyes and paid great respect to the places. I would recommend 100% and would absolutely go again.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful and heartfelt review. We are delighted to hear that you had such a positive experience with both the Salt Mine and Auschwitz-Birkenau tours. It is especially rewarding to know that your driver was able to accommodate your last-minute pickup change and that his friendly and helpful attitude made your journey even more enjoyable. We will be sure to pass on your kind words to him. We are also pleased that you enjoyed both guided tours. It is wonderful to hear that the guides were knowledgeable, engaging, and brought their own personality to the experience. We are particularly grateful for your comments about your Auschwitz guide. Presenting the history of the Memorial with humility, respect, and compassion is incredibly important, and we are glad that his thoughtful storytelling left such a meaningful impression on your group. Thank you for your wholehearted recommendation and for choosing Welcome in Cracow. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Krakow in the future.

Combined trip Auschwitz- Birkenau & salt mines.

We had a wonderful trip- The trip was so well organised, from the moment of booking to the drop off back at our hotel door it was seamless, we were kept well informed with plenty of updates regarding the trip details. The driver Daniel Bara was so professional and friendly, he went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, he picked us up at our location on time and for the whole day we knew we were in safe hands (big thank you to Daniel, he made the day so enjoyable and was great company) The guide at Auschwitz was very knowledgeable and tailored the tour perfectly. The guide at the salt mines was great too. I don’t think I could suggest any improvements, I will be recommending your company to my friend and relatives when they visit Krakow, we loved it, such a great experience. Thank you for organising such a wonderful trip. 🫶🙌👏.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review. We are truly delighted to hear that your entire experience – from the moment of booking until the drop-off at your hotel – was seamless and well organised. It means a lot to us that you felt well informed throughout and that everything ran smoothly. A very special thank you for your kind words about Daniel Bara. We will be sure to pass your appreciation on to him. We are so pleased to hear that his professionalism, friendliness, and care made you feel comfortable and safe throughout the day. Knowing that he helped make the experience even more enjoyable truly means a great deal to us. We’re also happy that both guides – at Auschwitz and at the Salt Mines – met your expectations and provided knowledgeable and engaging tours. It’s wonderful to hear that you wouldn’t suggest any improvements – that is the best compliment we could receive. Thank you for recommending our company to your friends and relatives. We are so grateful for your trust and are thrilled that you had such a great experience with us.

Not for people with mobility issues...

The first part was very somber, visiting the Auschwitz camps. The second part to the Salt Mines, was a great experience. However, the amount of walking and stairs involved in a 1 day excursion is hard going, if you have mobility issues. My feet were sore and swollen afterwards, it's a long day, 10 hrs in total... Definitely worth the visit though, but we'd probably do it as 2 separate excursion due to our mobility capability. The tours and staff were very good, very knowledgeable.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing such a balanced and thoughtful review of your day. We’re glad to hear that you found the visit to Auschwitz deeply meaningful and that the Salt Mines provided a contrasting but equally memorable experience. You are absolutely right — combining both tours into one day makes for a long and physically demanding excursion. We truly appreciate you highlighting the amount of walking and stairs involved, especially for guests with mobility concerns. Your honest feedback is very helpful for future travellers when planning their visit, and we completely understand why splitting the tours into two separate days can be a more comfortable option. At the same time, we’re very pleased to know that despite the long 10-hour day, you felt the visit was worthwhile and that our tours and staff were knowledgeable and professional. That means a great deal to us. Thank you once again for your valuable comments and kind words.

Combined tour Auschwitz Birkenau guided & Salt Mine guided from Krakow: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.

How much does Combined tour Auschwitz Birkenau guided & Salt Mine guided from Krakow cost?

    +

Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Combined tour Auschwitz Birkenau guided & Salt Mine guided from Krakow take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.

Is Combined tour Auschwitz Birkenau guided & Salt Mine guided from Krakow worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Combined tour Auschwitz Birkenau guided & Salt Mine guided from Krakow?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Combined tour Auschwitz Birkenau guided & Salt Mine guided from Krakow suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Combined tour Auschwitz Birkenau guided & Salt Mine guided from Krakow?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Combined tour Auschwitz Birkenau guided & Salt Mine guided from Krakow start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Krakow?

    +

On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Krakow?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Krakow?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
