Coffee the local Colombian way.

Great overall experience. Our guide Samuel was entertaining and knowledgeable. You get to learn how coffee grows and the history of coffee. You get to pick some beans and see the process. You get to try a few different drinks. The horse experience is different. It is not for the faint at heart as you ride through some very unimproved and narrow passes that we thought were neat. Very steep climbs on the horse and on foot, so I would say this is a moderate activity. While there isn't a great deal of walking, the walking is on cobblestone and dirt. Great for getting into the local feel, but difficult for the elderly or those challenged by steep unstable walks. The horse ride is a little long, so ask for the shorter ride through the farm and not the rustic town. Our horse guide Jorge spoke no English but was a kind and caring person. We enjoyed Jorge and Samuel very much.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your detailed and honest review! We're thrilled to hear that overall you had a great experience and that Samuel was entertaining and knowledgeable. It's wonderful that you enjoyed learning about the coffee-growing process, from picking beans to tasting different drinks. We appreciate your candid feedback about the horseback ride — it's helpful for future travelers to know the terrain can be challenging, and that Jorge was a kind and caring guide despite the language barrier. Your practical tips, like asking for the shorter ride, are very valuable. At ViajaMedellín, we truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back for more meaningful adventures.

Amazing farm experience

This trip was amazing, my tour guide and all the crew was very attentive, and kind. We learned everything about coffee and had a lot of fun. I was solo traveling and felt safe with the pick up and the entire experience. The farm was beautiful and well organized, horseback riding was absolutely worth it, I had Jorge guiding me through it (in Spanish) and we he was teaching me about horses.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your beautiful and detailed review! We're thrilled to hear that your trip was amazing and that you felt safe and well cared for throughout — especially as a solo traveler. It's wonderful that you learned everything about coffee, enjoyed the horseback riding, and that Jorge taught you about horses along the way. We're glad the farm was beautiful and well organized. Your kind words mean the world to us at ViajaMedellín. We'd love to welcome you back for more unforgettable adventures.

Coffee Tour In Horse Riding and Lunch In Medellin: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Medellín.

How much does Coffee Tour In Horse Riding and Lunch In Medellin cost?

+

Prices start at $98 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Medellín usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Coffee Tour In Horse Riding and Lunch In Medellin take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Medellín is not rushed.

Is Coffee Tour In Horse Riding and Lunch In Medellin worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 322 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Medellín, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Coffee Tour In Horse Riding and Lunch In Medellin?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Coffee Tour In Horse Riding and Lunch In Medellin suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Coffee Tour In Horse Riding and Lunch In Medellin?

+

Around 113 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Medellín can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Medellín and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Coffee Tour In Horse Riding and Lunch In Medellin start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Medellín within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Medellín?

+

On Outty we rank every Medellín experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guatapé Tour: Piedra del Peñol with Boat Tour, Breakfast, Lunch, Half-Day Coffee Tour: From the Seed to the Cup, Farm & roastery, Private Guatape & Coffee Farm Tour: The Two Must do in One Day. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Medellín?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Medellín?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
