A fantastic experience for groups - such great organisation as well as superb guides and safety

I booked relatively last minute for a group of 33 Scouts plus Leaders, split over a canyoning and coasteering adventure. Ross was superb, with clear information, flexibility to accommodate our needs, and great responsiveness. The events themselves were run professionally, the transport was excellent, the guides were top class, and we had an amazing adventure. The trips were run extremely safely, but still retained that sense of danger that the scouts love. There were lots of options for 'challenge by choice' on the coasteering and everyone had a superb time. Honestly - I'd recommend Ross and the team for groups any time, and personally I am sure I will be back for some smaller group adventures in the future as it was so much fun. Thank you!

    ABSOLUTE MUST DO!!!

Wow! Wow! And Wow! This was probably one of the best experiences my family has ever had. Ross was such an incredible guide leading us along the beautiful coast of Fife. We were at first anxious that the water was cold but the wetsuits and gear kept us so warm that we didn’t even feel cold at all. Then he led us through the water and up the cliffs and of course the cliff jumping. Soooo much fun! My kids 15 and 16 had the time of their lives. It was sad when it was over and we will talk about this for a very long time. We can’t imagine doing it with anyone else but Ross who made us feel safe, who gave us the confidence and led us on an ultimate amazing trip of a lifetime. If we ever come back we will do this again. I also highly suggest asking Ross for his recommendations on his favorite places. We tried them all and he was right on mark. Thank you!

    The highlight of our trip!

Our coasteering adventure was the highlight of our trip to Edinburgh. Our guide Peter was fantastic! I felt very safe and even did the final highest jump of the day. It was such a blast! My son and I will never forget this experience. Thank you!

    Incredible

This was quite honestly the best thing I have done for years. The guides were class, the jumps were amazing and swimming through "Choppy Valley" felt like an achievement in itself. We had a mixed group of abilities - and everyone loved it and only did as much as they were comfortable with. We went in March, which got me so much stick from the rest of the group before as jumping into the sea in a cold Scottish March time sounds miserable - but the wet suits were so warm and thick the cold waters made no difference - and everyone absolutely loved it. I will be going back.

Coasteering Day Trips from Edinburgh: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Edinburgh.

How much does Coasteering Day Trips from Edinburgh cost?

    +

Prices start at $263 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Edinburgh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Coasteering Day Trips from Edinburgh take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Edinburgh is not rushed.

Is Coasteering Day Trips from Edinburgh worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 54 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Edinburgh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Coasteering Day Trips from Edinburgh?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Coasteering Day Trips from Edinburgh suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Coasteering Day Trips from Edinburgh?

    +

Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Edinburgh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Edinburgh and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Coasteering Day Trips from Edinburgh start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Edinburgh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Edinburgh?

    +

On Outty we rank every Edinburgh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Chocolatarium Chocolate Tour Experience in Edinburgh, The Mountebank Comedy Walk of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Old Town: Historical Guided Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Edinburgh?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Edinburgh?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Coasteering Day Trips from Edinburgh?

    +

Included: In-vehicle air conditioning; and Wetsuit, Helmet, Buoyancy Aid. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Does Coasteering Day Trips from Edinburgh include hotel pickup?

    +

Yes, pickup is offered for every traveler from 2 listed pickup locations in and around Edinburgh.

What languages is Coasteering Day Trips from Edinburgh offered in?
