What you get
About this experience
Experience and explore waters of Clearwater Beach and Caladesi Island State Park. Always a short distant and boat ride to great fishing in Clearwater Bay. Enjoy fishing one of the most popular and unique ecosystem found within downtown. Fishing is great all year round, and there is such diversity of nearshore, island hoping and backcountry fishing for Black Drum, Redfish, Cobia, Trout and Jack Crevalle depending on the season. Even on windy days, there are plenty of places to fish, in the Bay, you can fish one of the many barrier islands, and hundreds of miles of backcountry water shoreline, making this an experience, not just another fishing trip. Travelers and Visitors of Clearwater Beach also enjoyed the Clearwater Marine Aquarium or experience in the Boeing 737 Flight Simulations or even an awesome game at Spectrum Field.

fishing trip as a newby, I like it!
Really a great experience with my father in law and 10 year old son. We had been threatening to take this trip for years and we finally booked it in. Perfect weather, Michael was amazing captain and so relaxed when we had some issues as newby sea fishers father in law and son who had a blast. I also caught a mini shark they both haven’t stopped talking about the trip. We caught and cooked the Snook fish at the local fish grill. We will be booking eight hour again. Thank you so much for the experience.
Response from the operator: What an awesome multi-generational adventure—thank you for sharing it! After years of “we’ll do it someday,” I’m so glad you booked the trip and got picture-perfect weather to go with it. Captain Michael’s calm, easygoing style is just what new sea anglers need—and the mini shark moment? Legendary! Snook on the grill, stories still flying—can’t wait to have you all back for that 8-hour sequel. 🎣

Great do again next year.
Capt Bill Goudy provided a great trip . He was very helpful in explaining about his electronics which he had all lasted electronics. We had a great time I caught 45 fish on Thursday the most I have ever caught in a day. I would recommend a trip with Bill if you want a great experience. He will give all the history on Head Waters.
Response from the operator: Thank you! We're delighted to hear you had a fantastic time with Captain Bill Goudy on Headwaters Lake. Catching 45 fish in a day is impressive, and we're glad you appreciated his knowledge and the latest electronics. Your recommendation means a lot to us!

Clearwater Inshore Fishing Charter: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Clearwater.
How much does Clearwater Inshore Fishing Charter cost?
+
Prices start at $700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Clearwater usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Clearwater Inshore Fishing Charter take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Clearwater is not rushed.
Is Clearwater Inshore Fishing Charter worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Clearwater, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Clearwater Inshore Fishing Charter?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Clearwater Inshore Fishing Charter suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Clearwater Inshore Fishing Charter?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Clearwater can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Clearwater and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Clearwater Inshore Fishing Charter start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Clearwater within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Clearwater?
+
Clearwater Beach fills its calendar with dolphin cruises, pirate-themed family sails, parasailing, jet ski tours around Caladesi Island and sunset trips off Pier 60. On Outty we rank every Clearwater experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Little Toot Dolphin Adventure at Clearwater Beach, Clearwater Encounters with Dolphins Tour, Clearwater Beach Parasailing Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Clearwater?
+
March to May and October to November for warm water without peak crowds. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Clearwater?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
