    Not worth it

The tour was sadly a pretty big disappointment. We had a tour of a few of the iconic places in the city and our tour guide didn’t know things very well and had very broken English. Most of the time he would repeat the same things over and over. The tour guide explanation of key details especially at the museum was very hard to understand. He seemed to be a very nice person but we being nice isn’t what we paid a lot for, we wanted a city tour that was educational and interesting which we definitely did not get. You don’t get anything much more out of it with a tour then we would have just gone ourselves and paid for a self guided audio tour especially at the museum. You are transported by Tuk-tuk and Tuk-Tuks don’t have AC obviously so it was extremely hot the whole tour. The tour guide also did not get ahold of us till over 1 hour after the tour departure had already past at 8am. So we assumed it was not going to happen until 1 hour and 19 minutes later at 9:19am he contacted us saying he was in our hotel lobby. Every tour during our 3 weeks away we had our tour guide contact us at least the day before the tour and this was the only one that failed to do that. I wouldn’t recommend this tour and instead I would suggest doing a hop on hop off bus or just figure out transport to the places yourself and do your own research of the places visited.

    Impressive and recommend

Impressive experience with Mr. Nao Sok. He knows the history well and he is also a botanist and introduces us a lot about Cambodian plants and their connection with the religion. Lunch tastes nice at a riverside restaurant and the view is good. We finish all the visits on time. Everything is smooth. Additionally, Sok is willing to share and leads us to a temple and a university, we learnt more about the local culture and history. Sok also helps us take many pictures. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to know more about Phnom Penh.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for sharing your impressive experience with us. We’re delighted to hear that Mr. Nao Sok’s deep knowledge of history, botany, and Cambodian culture made your tour in Phnom Penh both informative and enjoyable. We’re also glad you enjoyed the riverside lunch, smooth itinerary, and the additional visits that helped you learn more about local life. Your recommendation truly means a lot to our team. We hope to welcome you again on another journey in Cambodia. Warm regards, MyProGuide Cambodia Team

Great time with amazing Tour Guide!

It was a great tour overall. Pre-tour, a day before, the Guide will chat you and inform about the pick up arrangement. As it was for 3 participants, we took Tuk Tuk (motorbike one) and went around. First area is the Royal Palace, National Museum, then Wat Phnom. Before going to Wat Phnom, we had a lunch break with good food (they have local and international food) and ambience is super nice. So thankful that our Tuktuk driver and tour guide are very kind and friendly. Very recommended! ✨️

Response from the operator: Dear dio270, Your review truly made our day! We're so glad you had a great tour and that you found our guide and tuk-tuk driver to be kind and friendly. They are indeed a wonderful part of our team. Thank you for highlighting the delicious lunch and the overall experience. We hope to see you again! Best regards,

    A informative and fun tour

Nao Sok is really informative when it come to the culture of Cambodia, he check on us from time to time and asking if we still ok or if we have any questions. I amaze of how it shows that he really do love his job. Nao Sok is my tour guide for my 2 days Phnom Penh tour and I will highly recommend this kind and sweet person to you guys. I will choose him again when I got back to Cambodia ❤️

    Wonderful tour of Phnom Penh!

This is a phenomenal tour! My guide, Sok was wonderful. He explained all the sights and answered all of my questions, I learned so much about Phnom Penh, the people of Cambodia and local customs and practices. It is obvious Sok loves this city and wants to share it with the guests on tour. He also plants trees throughout the city to give back to the community and pointed them out along the way. Sok suggested a lovely riverside restaurant for lunch and that was amazing as well. Communication with the tour operator was easy and professional. Highly recommend!

Classic Phnom Penh City Full Day Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phnom Penh.

How much does Classic Phnom Penh City Full Day Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phnom Penh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Classic Phnom Penh City Full Day Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phnom Penh is not rushed.

Is Classic Phnom Penh City Full Day Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phnom Penh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Classic Phnom Penh City Full Day Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Classic Phnom Penh City Full Day Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Classic Phnom Penh City Full Day Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phnom Penh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phnom Penh and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Classic Phnom Penh City Full Day Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phnom Penh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phnom Penh?

    +

On Outty we rank every Phnom Penh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Tuol Sleng S21 and Choeung Ek Killing Field Tour, The Killing Field and Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S21) Tour, Killing field and Toul Sleng genocide museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phnom Penh?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phnom Penh?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
