Once-in-a-Lifetime Classic Inca Trail Perfect from Start to Finish.
"We hiked the Classic Inca Trail with Southern Peru Explorers in a group of 10, and it was simply fantastic from beginning to end! Everything was top-notch from the food, which was absolutely delicious and exceeded all our expectations (how do they cook like that on a mountain?!), to the high-quality camping equipment that kept us comfortable throughout the trek. The guides were incredible knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and always ready to motivate us. They shared so much about the history, culture, and nature along the way, making every step more meaningful. We felt fully supported the entire journey. The organization was flawless, and the team made sure everyone in the group felt included and confident. Arriving at Machu Picchu after four amazing days of hiking was emotional and unforgettable. We can’t thank Southern Peru Explorers enough this was a bucket-list experience made even better by the people who guided us through it. Highly recommended 10/10 experience."
Response from the operator: Reading your review truly made our day! Sharing the Classic Inca Trail with a group of 10 travelers and knowing that every aspect of the journey met your expectations is incredibly rewarding for our entire team. From our dedicated porters and talented trekking chefs to our guides and office staff, everyone works hard to create a seamless and memorable experience on the trail. We're especially happy that you enjoyed the meals along the route. One of the questions we hear most often is exactly what you asked: "How do they cook like that on a mountain?" Our trekking chefs are true professionals, and they take great pride in surprising hikers with fresh and delicious meals even in remote locations. The Classic Inca Trail is much more than a hike—it's a journey through history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. Knowing that our guides helped make those connections meaningful for your group makes us very proud. Most of all, we're delighted that reaching Machu Picchu after four days on the trail became the unforgettable moment you had hoped for. Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a special achievement and for trusting Southern Peru Explorers with your once-in-a-lifetime adventure. We wish you many more incredible travels ahead! Classic Inca Trail, Adventure of a Lifetime.
I booked a 4-day, 3-night hike on the Inca Trail with Southern Peru Explorers, and it was truly unforgettable. This kind of trip takes a lot of planning, especially since permits need to be secured far in advance but Southern Peru Explorers supported me from beginning to end. The guides were excellent knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the trail and its history. The food was absolutely amazing (way better than I expected on a mountain trek!), and the porters were incredible so hardworking and kind. A special shoutout to Joel, who carefully chose the best campsites along the way, not only for comfort but also for their stunning viewshe’s a photographer, and it shows in how he planned everything. I recommend this experience to everyone looking for adventure, beauty, and culture in one unforgettable journey. Thank you, Southern Peru Explorers.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Classic Inca Trail, 4 Days and 3 Nights: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does Classic Inca Trail, 4 Days and 3 Nights cost?
+
Prices start at $850 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Classic Inca Trail, 4 Days and 3 Nights take?
+
Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is Classic Inca Trail, 4 Days and 3 Nights worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Classic Inca Trail, 4 Days and 3 Nights?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 72 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Classic Inca Trail, 4 Days and 3 Nights suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 96-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Classic Inca Trail, 4 Days and 3 Nights?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Classic Inca Trail, 4 Days and 3 Nights start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
