Great guide & experience
My niece booked this through Klook for us as a small group. Unfortunately there were not enough people so they asked if we would like to make it a private tour but with additional payment. At first we're hesitant because of the additional expense. In the end we decided to go because Angkor Wat is the main spot in Siem Rep & sunrise at that. We're so glad we didn't cancel. Sarak our tour guide was an excellent guide, with on time pick up, so much knowledge, information & history to share, always taking our pictures, taking us to the temples & explaining everything, answered our questions & went out of his way to help me find a pharmacy. He always ask us what we want to do, to stop, walk or ride in the tuk tuk. With a little extra time he took us around the city & showed us Pub St with all the restaurants & bars. All in all it was worth it especially with Sarak as our guide. We must not forget the driver of the tuk tuk who was always there waiting for us with a cold towel & a bottle of water agter each temple visit. Thank you Sarak & sorry can't remember the name of the tuk tuk driver for a wonderful day.

Amazing Angkor Wat Sunrise tour!
Da is the coolest tour guide! We got picked up at the hotel on time, he showed us a secret spot away from the crowds where we could see the Angkor Wat Sunrise. We saw three more temples after this one of which was the location where Tomb Raider (the one with Angelina Jolie) was shot! We had an excellent driver as well, we had enough water at all times and got taken to a cute breakfast place where we could even take a nap in hammocks! I can definitely recommend this tour with Da!

We truly appreciate your kind words and recommendation — and we hope to welcome you back soon for another unforgettable adventure in Cambodia! Warm regards,

Amazing tour, but be careful with low season cancellations!
I had a really positive experience with the private sunrise tour! My tour guide (Ben) was very knowledgeable and good-natured, and he did an amazing job of explaining the significance of each temple in great detail. I only removed a star, because I had a slightly inconvenient experience with booking the tour. Less than 24 hours before my tour was scheduled to start, I received an email from the company that the tour was cancelled due to insufficient demand, and I had to either pay extra (basically 5x) for a private tour or move the tour. I completely understand that the company needed to rebook to save operational costs. But, I wish they could have given me a bit more of a heads up (perhaps at least 48 hours), so I could think through my options and reschedule as needed. :( That said, Ben was such a great tour guide, so I am very happy I ended up sticking with the tour company! :) Just be a bit cautious of last-minute cancellations, in case you are booking during the low season.
Response from the operator: Dear 594karn, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive experience! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you had a really positive experience on the private sunrise tour and that your guide, Ben, was knowledgeable and good-natured. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to him; he's a true asset to our team. We also want to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration caused by the last-minute cancellation and the need to adjust your booking. You are completely right—receiving a notice with less than 24 hours is not the standard we aim for, and we understand why you wish you had more time to think through your options. We recognize that this impacted your experience, and we are actively reviewing our communication protocols for low-demand periods to ensure we can give guests at least a 48-hour heads-up in the future. We are truly grateful that you chose to stick with us and that Ben was able to deliver such a great tour. Your feedback is invaluable and helps us improve our service for all future travelers. Warm regards,

Da was a great tour guide. We saw 4 temples at Angkor Wat. The only thing to improve is the weather! It was cloudy at the the sunrise

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Classic Angkor Wat Sunrise Full Day Private Guide Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.
How much does Classic Angkor Wat Sunrise Full Day Private Guide Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $110 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Classic Angkor Wat Sunrise Full Day Private Guide Tour take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.
Is Classic Angkor Wat Sunrise Full Day Private Guide Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Classic Angkor Wat Sunrise Full Day Private Guide Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Classic Angkor Wat Sunrise Full Day Private Guide Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Classic Angkor Wat Sunrise Full Day Private Guide Tour?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Classic Angkor Wat Sunrise Full Day Private Guide Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?
+
On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Siem Reap?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
