Pastel de nada on the terrace
We absolutely loved this! We were welcomed into the host couples home and they showed us how to make the pastel de nada step by step in a leisurely fashion. We chatted and enjoyed this experience on their beautiful terrace. We felt like we made some new friends! We would highly recommend this experience!

Memorable Portuguese afternoon
Jorge and his wife were professional and personable. My granddaughter and I enjoyed being welcomed into their lovely home for a traditional Portuguese experience. The setting on their terrace was lovely, and the tools and ingredients were laid out so the preparation process was well orchestrated. Jorge and his wife were perfect hosts. We laughed and even danced a bit and felt like we’d made new friends. We would not hesitate to recommend Jorge’s classes for a unique experience. The Pastel de Nata we made were packaged up for our continued enjoyment of a memorable afternoon in Porto.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It truly means a lot to us. You and your granddaughter were absolutely delightful — so kind, fun, and genuinely interested in every step of the experience. It was a real pleasure to share this moment with you, and we couldn’t have asked for better company. We laughed, we danced, and created a truly special afternoon together. These are the moments that stay with us — beautiful memories that we will cherish. We hope the Pastéis de Nata bring back a little taste of Porto whenever you enjoy them! You are always welcome in our home, and we would love to see you again one day. Our doors (and arms!) will always be open for you. 💛

Welcoming and hands on cooking class!
We had a wonderful time making pastel de nata with Jorge and Isabel. They were very welcoming and have a beautiful terrace. We had a hands on experience making every step of the pastel de nata. There was also a personal touch that I think others would miss if they were attending more commercial cooking classes in Porto... I could've sat on the terrace talking on night with them. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your beautiful words 💛 It truly meant a lot to share that moment with you — it felt like having friends at home. You’re always welcome on our terrace anytime! Jorge & Isabel

Authentic experience
Jorge and Isabel opened the doors of their home and taught us the real recipe for pastels de natas. A beautiful experience with beautiful people. Must do during your stay in Porto.
Response from the operator: Merci pour vos gentils mots. Nous sommes toujours ravis d'accueillir des personnes qui aiment partager leurs connaissances. Nous espérons vous revoir bientôt. Il nous reste encore de la morue à cuisiner !

Brilliant authentic experience
Excellent experience - highly recommend. Jorge and Isabel are lovely, passionate and experienced people. It’s a very personal and unique experience that felt so different to anything else we’ve done. Our 11 year old daughter absolutely loved it and they really made a fuss of her. It was lovely to spend time with them and hear about their family history making pasta del Natas. Thank you to you both for an excellent experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind words, it was very gratifying for us. We really enjoyed having you in our home. I hope you come back to try the octopus, but this time I'll tender.

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Christmas Cake Class with Jorge and Isabel on the Terrace: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.
How much does Christmas Cake Class with Jorge and Isabel on the Terrace cost?
+
Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Christmas Cake Class with Jorge and Isabel on the Terrace take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.
Is Christmas Cake Class with Jorge and Isabel on the Terrace worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Christmas Cake Class with Jorge and Isabel on the Terrace?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Christmas Cake Class with Jorge and Isabel on the Terrace suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Christmas Cake Class with Jorge and Isabel on the Terrace?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Christmas Cake Class with Jorge and Isabel on the Terrace start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Porto?
+
On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Porto?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Porto?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
