Teacher was 20 min late...
Teacher was 20 min late and then ran 20 min over, and spent a lot of time just trying to cool the counter for the chocolate. Wasn’t as hands on as I would have liked and a lot of just sitting around and waiting.
Response from the operator: I am very sorry we started the workshop late. This shouldn't have happened. As it is very hot in Puerto Vallarta, even with the air-conditioning on, we sometimes struggle during the summer to lower the temperature of the chocolate on the marble (to ensure a good pre crystallization of the chocolate). We will work on the process to improve the experience. Have a nice day.

Unique and great experience!
GREAT experience! The instructor - Rodrigo - is super friendly, informative, funny and patient with us. We had a lot of fun during the 2-hour presentation, and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Kerry, for taking the time to write this nice review. We are happy you enjoyed our chocolate truffles workshop with Rodrigo. We hope to see you again at ChocoMuseo Puerto Vallarta, maybe for a chocolate macarons workshop.

Outstanding class, education and experience with Rod.
Outstanding experience with Rod. His knowledge and teaching skills are fun, engaging and enthusiastic. My friend and I loved learning all about tempering, chocolate, and what a rare gift of Mexican Chocolate. We think they should FRANCHISE!!!. Best of luck! And if you get the fortunate chance to participate in chocolate making and education with this great PVR gem, we highly recommend it!

Fun and tasty activity! Learned a lot!
This activity is a lot of fun and super informative! Our teacher was Rodrigo and he was amazing! He was super friendly and has so much knowledge to share, we learned a lot. Rodrigo was very good at explaining each step and teaching us the best techniques. We had some laughs and enjoyed a bunch of tastings too before and during the class. Our chocolates look and taste amazing and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone! Great way to spend some time out of the heat in PV! :)
Response from the operator: Whaou ! Thank you so much, Megan, for your great review. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed our chocolate truffles workshop with Rodrigo. Thank you for sharing your experience. We hope to see you again at ChocoMuseo Puerto Vallarta, maybe for a chocolate éclairs workshop.

A wonderfully fun and informative chocolate making workshop.
What a great experience!!! I really enjoyed my workshop with the fellows from ChocoMuseo. The history lesson was very informative and I liked how they paired it with the various chocolate drinks from the Mayan, Aztec and European cultures. I already had chocolate making experience but they taught me several things I didn’t know. The truffle making part of the workshop was fun and very “hands on.” If you’re interested in learning about chocolate I highly recommend ChocoMuseo!!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Nigel, for your great review! We are glad you enjoyed our Total Chocolate Experience workshop. Thank you for your recommendation!

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Chocolate & Truffles Workshop in Puerto Vallarta: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.
How much does Chocolate & Truffles Workshop in Puerto Vallarta cost?
+
Prices start at $63 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chocolate & Truffles Workshop in Puerto Vallarta take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.
Is Chocolate & Truffles Workshop in Puerto Vallarta worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 168 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chocolate & Truffles Workshop in Puerto Vallarta?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chocolate & Truffles Workshop in Puerto Vallarta suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Chocolate & Truffles Workshop in Puerto Vallarta?
+
Around 59 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chocolate & Truffles Workshop in Puerto Vallarta start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
