What you'll see and do
Moldova
Chisinau- the capital of Moldova. You cant even pronounce that name, right? No problems! Our guides will help you understand why this green city is actually so nice and you’ve done a great job coming here! If your first impression about Chisinau is that it is a quite typical soviet looking city – just give it the time and you will be impressed. Fancy Russian Empire time architecture, oriental looking romanian style buildings, huge soviet time constructions and modern urban ”skyscrapers” – will make you do not understand eventually – what is, this Chisinau? No worries, nobody knows!

What's not to love about Moldova?
I'm 6 weeks late in finally writing this review, but it must be said: Wow! What a heartfelt experience this was, with Laurentia Z., my tour guide operating through HiMoldova. For a few separate day-trips that proved unforgettable, I'm glad I made the decision to visit the beautiful, humble country of Moldova when I did, and was able to connect with Laurentia of all people. She's truly a wonderful, motherly woman, who showed me more love than my own family members ever have, ha. She showed me around Chisinau, and surrounding areas, and even managed to help me reconnect with a former Moldovan-Ukrainian girlfriend and her family members. Each conversation was natural and meaningful, and I was treated as a friend, or even a son, rather than a customer. There's so much more to Moldova than a visitor could imagine, and I can't think of a better way to explore the country's historical and natural attractions, than with Laurentia. I now have a newfound appreciation for the special people surviving in this part of the world, from the local Moldovans to the Ukrainian refugees, and they've truly earned my respect. The sights are impressionable, the food and wine spectacular, and I'd be crazy to not recommend taking this trip of a lifetime, to anyone considering going. Show Moldova some love! They deserve it.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. Very best, Hi Moldova team

Great day in Chisinau and Cricova
Nicolai was an excellent guide. He's knowledgeable, personable, and his English is spot-on. He customized the tour based on our interests, and even helped us with finding souvenirs. The visit to Cricova winery was very interesting and must enjoyable. Our guide at the winery, Victoria, also some excellent English and was very engaging. This tour was well worth the time and money. Highly recommend.

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Chisinau City Tour - Cricova Winery: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chisinau.
How much does Chisinau City Tour - Cricova Winery cost?
+
Prices start at $97 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chisinau usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chisinau City Tour - Cricova Winery take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chisinau is not rushed.
Is Chisinau City Tour - Cricova Winery worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chisinau, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chisinau City Tour - Cricova Winery?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chisinau City Tour - Cricova Winery suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Chisinau City Tour - Cricova Winery?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chisinau can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chisinau and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chisinau City Tour - Cricova Winery start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chisinau within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chisinau?
+
On Outty we rank every Chisinau experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soviet Era Tour of Transnistria from Chisinau Moldova, Tiraspol and Bender Back in the USSR Tour, One day tour in Transnistria. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chisinau?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chisinau?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
