On our one-day tour, we visit a place that can surprise Moldova – state within Moldova – tiny Transnistria, which is not found on the world map. We show and tell you about people's everyday lives, our culture and values, typical Moldovan delicacies. Lunch is served at the inn in the Bulgarian village at the locals'. On the tour we visit the fortress of Bendery, on the city walk we learn about the historical events that had shaped this region. We look at the Soviet monuments, Lenin and Suvorov monuments, the majestic building and memorial sites.

What you'll see and do
Bendery Fortress
Our first stop is the abandoned amusement park in Bendery, a place where the children once played. At the moment there are only rusted attractions and an abandoned Ferris wheel. Then we visit the 615-year-old ancient city of Bendery. Here is one of the most important sights - the castle complex from the XVI century, built by Ottomans. 250 years ago, heavy fighting between the Russian and Ottoman Empires took place here. Today Bendery Castle is considered a sprawling monument with incomparable Turkish architecture. We also visit the 19th century Orthodox church. The torture museum is also there; you climb to the highest tower of the fortress. Here at the castle you can also read Münchhausen's fairy tale 'Ride on the Cannonball' and even fly on a cannon! In the XIX century, the Swedish king Charles XII lived for 3 years. What happened to him later - you'll find out when you're there!

The Memorial of Military Glory
Afterwards we take a city walk through Bendery: we visit places that are for locals are holy. These are the memorials that remind us of fallen soldiers. There is an eternal burn here Flame and stands a combat vehicle. There is a bell tower in the center. The names of soldiers who gave their lives are engraved on the walls sacrificed for the fatherland.

We also visit the village of Parkany, where the Bulgarian minority lives. I'll tell you the story of how they came to Moldova. Then we invite you to discover the traditionally designed inn Usadba Acasa, on a culinary journey to Transnistria. Here you have the opportunity to taste a variety of homemade specialties. You try the following dishes: Mamaliga (Moldovan polenta made from corn flour), placinta filled with gill meat and sheep's cheese, chicken soup Zeama with noodles, walnut cake. Wine tasting is also a must! Red and white wines are included. Moldova is known for its musically talented people. Get to know the musical life of our country by playing the accordion. Tiraspol
In the afternoon we discover the capital of Transnistria - Tiraspol. The city was founded in 1792 The Russian Empress Ekaterina II was founded by Field Marshal Alexander Suvorov. Tiraspol is a small, clean, magnificent city on the left bank of the Dniester River. The townspeople are always friendly and are happy to talk to guests from abroad. In Tiraspol there is an opportunity to purchase plastic coins, the recognized currency that is still in Umaluf. In a bookstore you can buy the Soviet, Russian or Transnistrian flags.

The Lenin Statue in Tiraspol is the youngest brother of the Lenin Monument in Berlin. The statue has stood since 1987 and is a reminder of the past.

The Suvorov Monument
The horse statue is located in the center of Tiraspol. The 9 meter high monument was erected in 1979. The Russian general Alexander Suvorov was the founder of the city. I'll tell you in front of the monument why he is one of the most famous generals in Russia.

Unforgettable
Wonderful experience. Vita was an amazing guide and pickup/dropoff was very smooth. Unforgettable and a must do day trip from Chisinau. Lunch was also delicious with an amazing atmosphere.

Can highly recommend
Just came back from an amazing day in Pridrestnovie. Not only was the tour exceptionally designed, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and the driver drove safely (which is rather rare here;) We were also extremely lucky to visit on Sept 2nd, which is Republic Day! Thank you for the tour to the country which doesn’t exist!

Mind numbing LONG day. Painful detail. NOT recommended!
Very disappointing experience with this operator. Was told we would return to Chisanau by 6 or 7 latest, depending on traffic, did not get back until after 8pm. Painfully long day. Driver was prompt for pickup, helpful and courteous. However he had NO English and only used Google Translate to inform our group of very basic details. While we were with him on the fairly short drive to the border, we had a quick stop for drinks and toilet less than 1 hour from Chisanau. Once we got to Transnistria, the young woman guide proceeded to walk us around to every statue and monument in the large area. I stopped counting after 15. She explained everything in lengthy detail with exact dates. I presume this is expected by the government but after a few monuments it is overkill. She was not experienced or mature enough to know that most people don’t care that much. Worse was that there were no stops offered for toilets or refreshments for hours, and by 3pm there was no mention of the lunch we were expected to pay 15eu for. We didn’t get to the lunch stop until 4pm which is not acceptable, since we had been on the road since 9am. The logistics of this tour were unpleasant and uncomfortable. The operator needs to know that there should be toilet stops approx every two hours, with the possibility of water, coffee or tea offered. Lunch should be no later than 2pm. It’s absurd to expect travelers to wait until late afternoon to eat. Further the sights in this tour could easily be covered in 2-3 hours maximum because it’s frankly not that interesting. I will say that the farmhouse lunch was lovely, homemade and delicious. The family’s pets and garden were charming and this was a truly authentic treat. Unfortunately the lack of communication about details ruined the day.
