Learn about the life and work of Louis Comfort Tiffany as we visit some of Chicago’s most magnificent art-glass and mosaic installations, each designed and crafted by the Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company. In the late 19th Century, the Arts and Crafts movement revived an interest in decorative glass. New, well-regarded homes and public buildings from the era were considered incomplete without decorative glass or mosaics. Louis Comfort Tiffany, the preeminent practitioner of this art, gained great exposure for a chapel he designed for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Today, the city is home to one of the largest collections of Tiffany art glass in the United States. This tour introduces some remarkable examples of Tiffany's work. As a certified nonprofit, all CAC ticket purchases directly support our education efforts and community engagement projects.

A Tour to Remember
Susan was a great docent. She was very detailed and passionate about the tour and was very willing to answer questions. The tour itself went through a few buildings of significance and was very informative and worthwhile. Parts of it are outside but it’s only a couple of blocks walk between sites.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the great review! We're so happy you enjoyed the tour and hope to see you again!

Outstanding backstories to Tiffany creations !
On June 17, my husband and I toured “Tiffany Treasures , lead by outstanding docent and history expert Siobhan H. Siobhan shared fascinating insights into the design, construction and restoration of Chicago Tiffany works such as stained glass domes in the Chicago Cultural Center, the mosaics in the ceiling of Macy’s (the former Marshall Fields) and atrium of the Marquette Building. An example of the captivating backstories Siobhan offered: Tiffany hired women to create the stained glass panels because the male-only union workers were on strike. Changing tastes deemed Tiffany works old-fashioned. Many were removed, haphazardly stored, or demolished. This tour restored our hope that Chicago's remaining architectural Tiffany works can be viewed and appreciated.
Response from the operator: We're so happy you enjoyed the tour and appreciate the great review!

Chicago Walking Tour: Tiffany Treasures: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chicago.
How much does Chicago Walking Tour: Tiffany Treasures cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chicago usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chicago Walking Tour: Tiffany Treasures take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chicago is not rushed.
Is Chicago Walking Tour: Tiffany Treasures worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 48 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chicago, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chicago Walking Tour: Tiffany Treasures?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chicago Walking Tour: Tiffany Treasures suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Chicago Walking Tour: Tiffany Treasures?
+
Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chicago can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chicago and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chicago Walking Tour: Tiffany Treasures start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chicago within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chicago?
+
Chicago's signature experience is still the architecture boat cruise, and the difference between the docent-led originals and the party-boat imitators is the single biggest quality gap in the city. Beyond the river: gangster history walks, Art Institute access, deep-dish and hot-dog crawls, and skydeck timed entry. Outty Ranking leans on guide credentials and how consistently the promised route runs. On Outty we rank every Chicago experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Original Chicago Architecture Interiors Tour: Dazzling Interiors, Chicago Favorites Ultimate Food and Walking Tour, Chicago Murder Mystery Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chicago?
+
May to October. Winter cruises stop running when the river ices. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chicago?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
