A trip worth looking...
A trip worth looking forward to. The drive from Chicago took about an hour an a half, which was expected. Unfortunately for us the Miller Brewery was closed for viewing although the souvenir shop was open. Money was returned for the disappointment, and an alternative was arranged to visit the mansion, however the Harley Davidson Museum was a treat to behold and the bustling market is unmissable. Our driver/guide, Nico was extremely knowledgeable and a very likeable man.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your feedback! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed the service we've provided! We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit!

Don't take this tour - look for an alternative
Don't take this tour! Miller Brewery, Harley Davidson Museum, Art Museum were great, driver didn't take us to City Hall. Experience was ruined by driver, basically no communication with us till we got to Miller's Brewery when he announced 1 member of the tour needed to pay $20 for the tour. When we arrived att the Harley museum driver made one family pay for the tour that was included in their ticket. On the return journey, driver stopped at a fuel station and demanded that the solo traveller get out of the van and buy him a case of beer because she didn't pay for the Miller tour. 3 of us followed them into the store, driver was yelling at the passenger in the back f the store till he saw us, then returned to vehicle very angry. Driving was erratic, we al felt unsafe and what should have been a great experience wqas ruined.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We take your concerns very seriously and have conducted a thorough review with the guide regarding the points you raised. We would like to clarify a few important details. According to our guide, your group had a tour package that included all entrance tickets (Miller Brewery, Harley Davidson Museum, etc.). However, there was another traveler on the same tour whose package did not include ticket of the Miller Brewery and another group of traveler did not include the ticket of the Harley Davidson Museum. This misunderstanding led to most of the communication issues you mentioned. We deeply regret that what should have been a great experience turned into a disappointing one. Please know that the guide tried to mediate a confusing situation where one guest’s package differed from the rest. Still, we acknowledge that the communication breakdown and the resulting tension negatively affected your tour. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We are committed to improving our services and guest communication.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Chicago to Milwaukee Day Trip with Brewery Tour & City Highlights: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chicago.
How much does Chicago to Milwaukee Day Trip with Brewery Tour & City Highlights cost?
+
Prices start at $125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chicago usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chicago to Milwaukee Day Trip with Brewery Tour & City Highlights take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chicago is not rushed.
Is Chicago to Milwaukee Day Trip with Brewery Tour & City Highlights worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chicago, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chicago to Milwaukee Day Trip with Brewery Tour & City Highlights?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chicago to Milwaukee Day Trip with Brewery Tour & City Highlights suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Chicago to Milwaukee Day Trip with Brewery Tour & City Highlights?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chicago can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chicago and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chicago to Milwaukee Day Trip with Brewery Tour & City Highlights start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chicago within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chicago?
+
Chicago's signature experience is still the architecture boat cruise, and the difference between the docent-led originals and the party-boat imitators is the single biggest quality gap in the city. Beyond the river: gangster history walks, Art Institute access, deep-dish and hot-dog crawls, and skydeck timed entry. Outty Ranking leans on guide credentials and how consistently the promised route runs. On Outty we rank every Chicago experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Original Chicago Architecture Interiors Tour: Dazzling Interiors, Chicago Murder Mystery Tour, Chicago Favorites Ultimate Food and Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chicago?
+
May to October. Winter cruises stop running when the river ices. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chicago?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
