    Chichén Itzá and Cenote.

An experience that must be lived, without waste, a whole culture to discover, but doing it with much respect and taking care of every space; we had the best team that made every moment something very special. The young woman Mafer assisted us during the whole tour, the driver Gustavo was very prudent behind the wheel, and our guide Jorge is the best of all; we couldn't have had anyone better, super prepared, and he taught us to love every place, take care of it, and respect it. I have loved every moment at Chichén Itzá.

    Terrible and arduous

I don't usually write reviews but I would not recommend this company. Despite it being a long drive from Cancun which we knew, we spent more time being advertised and sold things which left us less time to see the sights we had paid to see and made a gimmick. By the time we got to the best parts, I felt absolutely drained by the experience and was Ill so I couldn't enjoy it. Unfortunately, I was ill and warned the guide that I had been vomiting. He said he would look after me and anything I needed they would help. They gave me a giant garbage bag and said I could sit in the front of the bus in case that helps. He asked if there is anything I need and I mentioned some rehydration salts or drink would be great and I requested this twice and he said yes he would get me some but it never came. But he had no problems pouring tequila shots for everyone after claiming to have helped me and then completely ignoring my request. As the bus started I vomited several times intothus gigantic garbage bag which had a hole in it. I asked for another so as to not cover myself in vomit but he said they didn't have any. I asked if I was expected to just sit in my vomit for the next three hours and was met with a. Please don't talk to me like I'm an idiot instead of any sort of compassion in dealing with me like a human being. . They stopped the bus and he went and woke my boyfriend up and spoke to him instead of me. The driver was kind and helped me wash off and provided me with bags. This guide offered no apology. Sorry but you're taking people on a 16 hour bus ride but you have no resources for people like sick bags and all you hCe to offer is a garbage bag with a hole. The sights themselves are beautiful and we had a knowledgeable guide called Ruth to explain the Mayan history to us. Unfortunately, It felt more like a salesday where I needed a literal shower to wash off the nonsense.

Chibalam Experience Chichén Itza Ek Balam and Cenote: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.

How much does Chibalam Experience Chichén Itza Ek Balam and Cenote cost?

    +

Prices start at $185 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Chibalam Experience Chichén Itza Ek Balam and Cenote take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.

Is Chibalam Experience Chichén Itza Ek Balam and Cenote worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Chibalam Experience Chichén Itza Ek Balam and Cenote?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Chibalam Experience Chichén Itza Ek Balam and Cenote suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Chibalam Experience Chichén Itza Ek Balam and Cenote?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Chibalam Experience Chichén Itza Ek Balam and Cenote start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

    +

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
