Excellent time and guides!
I'm on my bucket list and we had an excellent time, lots of zip lines and great fun. Q and Pa were amazing tour guides and funny to go with it, even in the mid day heat 🥵 🔥 😆 and humidity. I will definitely go again. Thank you, Jeni Jeynes x

Skip the zipline!!
Skip the zipline experience, really underwhelming. It felt like a budget backyard setup rather than a zipline experience in the jungle. Elephant sanctuary was okay but rushed and rafting was fun. Trip was 6 hours instead of 8 hours. Not worth the money.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review If you book for separate activity you have to pay about three times more so in this price $100 with three activitys. It is cheep package come by with many little activity make your chance to many exciting activities of the north. Next visit please book for separate activities for what activity takes about 4 hours plus the time going back that will be another price please check again. Hope you will take care of yourself and thank you very much for give us a review Best regards, Sertsiri

Fun day but be ready for long ride on back of pickup truck
Overall a great experience. Enjoyed each of the activities and it was a blast for our five-year old son. Just the right amount of time with elephants, rafting, and zip lining. Staff were warm, professional, and ran each part well. Scenic area area a bit north of Chiang Mai. One major complaint and one minor one. We were transported over an hour on back of a pickup truck. It didn't feel safe and we wouldn't have agreed to it in advance. Also the lunch, while tasty, was a pot of pad thai—delicious but not quite the buffet advertised.

DON'T BOOK THIS TOUR, THIS IS A SCAM!
DON'T BOOK THIS TOUR THIS IS A SCAM! First of all, it is stated that the tour includes an English tour guide. However, there was NOBODY who spoke English with us, there was only a driver who did not speak a word English. So we did not receive any information he dropped us and then pointed and thats it. Then the activities. The ziplining is NOT through the jungle, it is just above the ground through some trees (it was like the kids area of ziplining). Then the elephant sanctuary. Again nobody who spoke a word with us. We gave some food to an elephant then walked with it and thats it. So no 2 hours but 30 minutes. Then the white water rafting. We were not allowed to paddle or something (we were only allowed to paddle for a few minutes), so we just sat in the boat. Only 2 rough parts the rest was just boring. We chose this tour as it would have 80 minutes of white water rafting, but this was in reality only 35 minutes.... Oh and ofcourse the lunch was not a buffet with soft drinks, tea, coffee and several fruits, but just Pad Thai. So not even close to what we booked and paid for. The pictures on tripadvisor are not the picture of this tour. We were with 2 other people and they also didn't enjoy the tour and agreed that this was a scam. We paid pretty much for this but we definitely did not get what we booked and paid for....

Fun but not worth the price
The tour was fun, with a friendly guide and some really cool aspects. But it was not worth the price. There was too much driving, the food “buffet” was a tasty albeit single vegetarian meal, and the elephant sanctuary didn’t seem very ethical. The ziplining was over a short area, but was fun and run by nice guys. The water rafting was great, and not very intense. Only critique of the tour guide was that she didn’t speak much English, which was a little annoying at times.

Why this scores 50
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Chiang Mai Zipline White Water Rafting and Elephant Sanctuary: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does Chiang Mai Zipline White Water Rafting and Elephant Sanctuary cost?
+
Prices start at $4600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chiang Mai Zipline White Water Rafting and Elephant Sanctuary take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is Chiang Mai Zipline White Water Rafting and Elephant Sanctuary worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chiang Mai Zipline White Water Rafting and Elephant Sanctuary?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chiang Mai Zipline White Water Rafting and Elephant Sanctuary suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Chiang Mai Zipline White Water Rafting and Elephant Sanctuary?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chiang Mai Zipline White Water Rafting and Elephant Sanctuary start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
