Schedule: 7:00 AM Pick up at your hotel (exact time may vary depending on your location) and drive up north to Chiang Rai 8:00 AM Take a rest at the Mae Ka Chan hot springs and have a coffee and take some photos 10:00 AM Arrive at the beautiful White Temple and spend 1 hour to admire and learn about this very iconic attraction. 11:30 AM Enter into the Blue Temple "Wat Rong Sua Ten" and take some beautiful photos 12:30 PM Lunch time! Enjoy some delicious Thai food at a local restaurant 2:00 PM Arrive at the golden Triangle. Wat Rong Seur Ten (Blue Temple)
The Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten) is the newest temple on the scene in Chiang Rai. Located just a few kilometers from Chiang Rai city in the district of Rimkok, it was completed in 2016. The Blue Temple is smaller than its counterparts – the White temple and Black House. Nevertheless it’s just as striking, painted in an eye-catching blue with overlays of gold embellishments. The centerpiece inside the great hall, is a huge statue of a White Buddha in sitting position surrounded by contemporary Buddhist art in a modern style.

Longneck Karen Village
The Karen tribe, which is unofficially called the Long Neck tribe, came to Thailand from Burma, when escaping war and violence in their country. They are world famous for their women, who wear golden rings around their necks. From the time when they are 5 to their 21st birthday, each year one ring is added to their collection. At the end, their necks get so long that these women are often called “dragon ladies”, or just “long necks”. According to Karen people, the longer the neck the more beautiful the woman who wears them is.

We got to see Chang Rai’s most popular spots and we are so happy that we made the effort to get there and see it !!
The trip was well planned and although we covered a great distance it wasn’t boring as we got to see villages and beautiful landscapes during the drive between places. Our guide Nong is really knowledgeable and was able to answer all the questions we had.
