Great experience
It was our first time mountain biking so it was definitely challenging but so worth it! The sights and sounds of the jungle were amazing. We passed lychee, coffee and banana trees. Our guide, A, was incredibly kind, patient, supportive (we struggled a bit!) and funny too. His presence made the experience that much better. He also took my phone and got a lot of great pictures and videos of us. The ride itself was sometimes hard for us because we're totally inexperienced with this sort of thing. We each fell 2 or 3 times, but we weren't going fast, and had a bunch of protective gear on, so we were fine. Some uphill parts, but if it got too hard we could just get off and walk the bike. The trickiest parts were when it got rocky, or when there were the 2 narrow parallel concrete paths for cars to drive on. But once you learn to trust the bike it actually feels a bit easier. The end is at a beautiful spot in an open hut on the lake with a delicious lunch. You can swim, dip your feet, or just relax and enjoy the scenery. I'm glad I didn't really know what it would be like because I might have chickened out and missed out on an incredible experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing such a detailed account of your first mountain biking experience. We’re glad A’s patience and encouragement helped you enjoy the jungle ride, and that you were unhurt after the falls you described. It’s lovely to hear the lakeside lunch was a rewarding finish to a challenging day. Oh-Hoo

Mountain biking
For me this was huge fun, very exhausting, 1 crash (haha), bit of a big adventure where anything can happen. Then a nice cool swim in the lake at the end. Just 2 of us in the group and 2 guides so we went quite fast most of the time. 20km ride down and the guides looked after us the whole time. Do this for the biking adrenalin and you will feel that you have accomplished in the end. Bring lots of energy too. Loved it.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your wonderful and detailed review. We’re so happy to hear that you had such an exciting and memorable adventure with us We’re glad you enjoyed the pace of the ride and the more personal experience with a small group, as well as the care and support from our guides throughout the journey. Your kind words about the sense of achievement and adrenaline mean a lot to us. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope to see you back for another adventure in the future. Best Regards,

How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
