An activity to do absolutely
I am currently on a family vacation in Chengdu. I was looking for an original activity to do with my daughter to mark her 30th birthday and when I discovered this activity, I immediately booked it without hesitation. My daughter really loved it and we had a great time, which inspired us to bring back beautiful personalized memories of Cheng Du. Kira is a very friendly and helpful person, who contacted me once the activity was booked and who even offered me his advice and services on address for visits and local foods. Thanks to him, we had a pleasant day on my daughter's birthday. I highly recommend this activity if you like manual activities, the fact of being able to bring back something original and personalized from this region of China and above all treat yourself to a real moment of break in a quiet and comfortable space with welcoming people.
Response from the operator: Hi it's Kira here! Thanks a lot for your review! It's my fortune to have you as guests. And I am glad to hear your daughter loves the activity! Hope this activity left some great memories for her birthday, and Happy Birthday again! Wish you guys a pleasant journey later in China!

An Over Expectation Fun Activity
This activity was over expectation. Our guide Kira told us that today was a lucky day because the raw materials used for making the sachets had been newly restocked, means we got more options than previous customers! The process of sewing the sachets was indeed challenging, but also a lot of fun, the instructor was a great help indeed. The cookies were delicious and had a unique flavor. Choosing the spices was a rather agonizing process, we chose to follow the recommendation and selected a combination that was rich in both color and scent. According to the guide, this blend has a calming effect. This activity is perfect for a lazy afternoon and complements the city of Chengdu very well.

Was a wonderful experience to take.
Our guide was helpful in explaining the steps, the instructor’s demonstration was professional. The process was interesting and the snacks and tea were also great. Indeed got the image how ancient people use those goods. Was a beautiful day.

A Must Do Activity to distinct from everybody else.
Interesting activity that is perfect for filling in spare moments. Located across from the Sichuan Opera Performance Park and is led by professional staff. Guide Kira will provide background information and Ms. Zeng brings step-by-step instructions for the activity. You can choose between easy or difficult projects to complete. You can take home a handmade souvenir, certainly more meaningful than the panda keychains that everyone else buys :) Highly recommended for those interested in local culture and looking to do something different from the typical tourist experience, not to mention the chance to enjoy traditional Gaiwan tea. The shop also offers other cultural merchandise, certainly a rich cultural atmosphere.

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Chengdu-Create your OWN Cultural souvenir-With TEA and Snacks: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chengdu.
How much does Chengdu-Create your OWN Cultural souvenir-With TEA and Snacks cost?
+
Prices start at $32 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chengdu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chengdu-Create your OWN Cultural souvenir-With TEA and Snacks take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chengdu is not rushed.
Is Chengdu-Create your OWN Cultural souvenir-With TEA and Snacks worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chengdu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chengdu-Create your OWN Cultural souvenir-With TEA and Snacks?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chengdu-Create your OWN Cultural souvenir-With TEA and Snacks suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Chengdu-Create your OWN Cultural souvenir-With TEA and Snacks?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chengdu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chengdu and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chengdu-Create your OWN Cultural souvenir-With TEA and Snacks start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chengdu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chengdu?
+
On Outty we rank every Chengdu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Chengdu Cooking Class with a Local Market Visit, Private Chengdu Day Tour: Giant Pandas and Jinsha Site Museum, Tuktuk Food Tour Through Chengdu's Local Eats. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chengdu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chengdu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
