    1. THE BLUE PEARL | CHEFCHAOUEN

Your excursion to Chefchaouen will start from Fez through the Zagouta Mountain. On your way, we will have an unobstructed panoramic view of the SedChahed Dam. This 190 km road is a breathtaking natural scene. After reaching the city, your visit will begin with the main square in the heart of Chefchaouen. It includes a kasbah built in the 18th century, a central mosque and cafes offering authentic Moroccan menus. The bustling market offers a mix of traditional Moroccan items and souvenirs, as well as excellent deals. You will visit The Kasbah, which was built by Moulay Ismail, which is now practically a ruin and located next to it is the Great Mosque. Although the old medina is small, you will find souks offering a wide variety of products. You will head to the Jewish quarter behind the jewelry souk. Only then will you get an idea of the difference in style that it has with the main Arab city. After visiting the city, our driver will take you to the Rass-Alma water source. It can be said that the source of Ras el ma is the cornerstone that led to the construction of the city of Chefchaouen. This source has been and remains the only supplier of drinking water in the city. In the past, it was the source of energy for the watermills that covered both shores of the source. He also had the merit of irrigating the farms that lay on his current. The will be the last place of your excursion Chefchaouen. Our driver will drive you to your next destination.

    Excellent desert tour from Fez

We had an excellent experience with Morocco Fez Desert Tours. The trip was well organized from start to finish, with clear communication, comfortable travel, and friendly staff. The desert views were beautiful, and the camel ride was one of the most memorable parts of the experience. The camp atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, with a chance to enjoy Moroccan hospitality, traditional food, and the calm of the Sahara. Everything felt smooth, safe, and enjoyable, making it a great choice for anyone visiting Fez and wanting to discover the desert.

A Magical Day Trip to Chefchaouen

Taking a day trip to Chefchaouen, the "Blue Pearl" of Morocco, was like stepping into a fairytale. Nestled in the Rif Mountains, this charming town captivated us from the moment we arrived with its stunning blue-painted streets, laid-back atmosphere, and breathtaking scenery. The journey from Fez was smooth and well-organized, with a knowledgeable driver who shared interesting insights about the region along the way. The changing landscapes—from rolling hills to rugged mountains—made the drive itself an enjoyable part of the experience. Once in Chefchaouen, we were immediately enchanted by its unique beauty. Wandering through the medina’s maze of blue-washed alleyways felt magical, with every corner offering a picture-perfect scene. The combination of vibrant hues, colorful flower pots, and the intricate details of doors and arches created an almost surreal setting. Our guide provided fascinating stories about the town's history, culture, and significance as a peaceful retreat for centuries. They also took us to key landmarks, including the Plaza Uta el-Hammam, the Kasbah, and the Ras El Maa waterfall, where the sound of rushing water added to the town’s serene charm. Chefchaouen is also a shopper’s paradise, with unique artisan crafts like handwoven textiles, pottery, and local beauty products. The relaxed atmosphere made exploring the shops and interacting with friendly locals a joy. For lunch, we enjoyed delicious traditional Moroccan dishes at a rooftop restaurant with stunning views of the medina and surrounding mountains. This day trip was a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural discovery, and relaxation. Whether you’re an avid photographer, a history enthusiast, or simply looking for a peaceful escape, Chefchaouen is a must-visit destination. I highly recommend this trip—it’s an unforgettable experience that will leave you with countless memories and stunning photos!

    Trip to chefchaouen

Everything was perfect. At first we went for breakfast in fes which was included in the price and then we started our trip to chefchaouen( approximately 3 hours). There we had around 3 hours to see the town and it was enough to walk around the place.

More of a transfer than tour

Booked this trip to go and see Chefchaouen. The driver was prompt at pickup time. The drive is quite long to reach Chefchaouen but we did make two stops. The rest stop was far too busy with other groups to be worthwhile, really should find another stop. But once there in the city had more than plenty of time to walk around. The thing to note is there is no tour of the city, you are on your own. It’s not a big area to explore but just a heads up. Overall this is an economical way to get to Chefchaouen for the day which I do recommend it was a really charming town. Drive back was long and it made for a 13 hour day.

Chefchaouen Full Day Trip with a CITY TOUR GUIDE: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fez.

How much does Chefchaouen Full Day Trip with a CITY TOUR GUIDE cost?

    +

Prices start at $47 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fez usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Chefchaouen Full Day Trip with a CITY TOUR GUIDE take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fez is not rushed.

Is Chefchaouen Full Day Trip with a CITY TOUR GUIDE worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fez, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Chefchaouen Full Day Trip with a CITY TOUR GUIDE?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Chefchaouen Full Day Trip with a CITY TOUR GUIDE suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Chefchaouen Full Day Trip with a CITY TOUR GUIDE?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fez can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fez and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Chefchaouen Full Day Trip with a CITY TOUR GUIDE start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fez within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Fez?

    +

On Outty we rank every Fez experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Day Trip to Chefchaouen from Fez ( instagram /Photos ), Fes to Marrakech: Merzouga & Ait Ben Haddou, 3 Days 2 Nights, 2 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Fes/Marrakech via Erg Chebbi. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Fez?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Fez?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
