What you'll see and do

  1. Chefchaouen

Fes Authentic Tour's knowledgeable, English speaking guide will collect you from your accommodation after an early breakfast for the pleasant and interesting journey to the Rif Mountains in the north of Morocco so that you may discover the unmatched splendour of the little town of Chefchaouen, the renowned "Blue City" of Morocco. En route, you will pass through the wide, verdant valleys, steep sided gorges and most beautiful forests that lead to this stunning city. Take you time exploring the relaxing, blue and white painted alleys and streets of this tranquil town that was established as a kasbah, or walled castle, by Moulay Ali ben Moussa, way back in 1471. The kasbah may still be seen today and possesses a more modern and rather pretty garden as well. Exploring the pale turquoise passageways, the hot Moroccan sun bounces off the buildings creating the sensational feeling that one is somehow moving under a shallow tropical ocean. The souks here abound with authentic, skillfully wrought local products, particularly woollen goods for which the region is justly noted, and unique patterns and styles; a wide selection of clothing, hand-crafted blankets in many colours and designs and wide, broad-brimmed hats, embroidered with brightly-coloured thread. In the centre of Chefchaouen, you will discover the town square, encircled with cafes and restaurants, in which you may choose to sample the flavoursome local cheese, made from goat's milk. Here you can catch your breath, take the weight of your feet for a while and breathe in the pleasant, friendly atmosphere of this beautiful place. Afterwards, you can view the marvelous panorama of the Rif Mountains from the park at Place Mohammed and visit the local Grande Mosque, constructed in the 15th century. Finally, as the sun is going down, you will be returned in your Fes Authentic Tours' air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel or riad back in Fes.

Nabil and Fouad made our experience amazing!

Fouad was our driver for the day and was amazing and accommodating to whatever we wanted to do. He was helpful in connecting us with people from the blue city who could help us navigate. The trip was well worth the time and money!! The city was beautiful and afterwards we were able to get dinner with Fouad. Nabil was amazing with coordinating our entire trip from airport to tours to back to the airport. Fes was a amazing trip!!! The company truly treats you like FAMILY.

Chefchaouen Day Trip from Fes: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fez.

How much does Chefchaouen Day Trip from Fes cost?

+

Prices start at $19 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fez usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Chefchaouen Day Trip from Fes take?

+

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fez is not rushed.

Is Chefchaouen Day Trip from Fes worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fez, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Chefchaouen Day Trip from Fes?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Chefchaouen Day Trip from Fes suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Chefchaouen Day Trip from Fes?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fez can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fez and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Chefchaouen Day Trip from Fes start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fez within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Fez?

+

On Outty we rank every Fez experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Day Trip to Chefchaouen from Fez ( instagram /Photos ), Fes to Marrakech: Merzouga & Ait Ben Haddou, 3 Days 2 Nights, 2 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Fes/Marrakech via Erg Chebbi. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Fez?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Fez?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
