Beautiful city, horrible process.
Our day started off with our driver being given the wrong address, despite us making a change two days earlier and confirming it multiple times. As a result, we missed our train. Our Tripadvisor contact said the next train was 2 hours later, when talking to customer service at the station we were able to get on the next train in one hour at a cost of ~$25 CAD each. Once we arrived in Tangiers our Tripadvisor contact said we needed to go to customer service at the station to change our ticket for the ride back. After waiting for ~30 minutes, we were told our ticket had been changed and would be emailed. During this time our driver let us know that other guests had been waiting over an hour and to please hurry up. We then proceeded to our mini van that had air conditioning, but barely, and no wifi or water as promised. On top of that we couldn’t adjust the seats and were forced to layback or sit up without support and most of the seatbelts did not work. Once we arrived in Chefchaouen our guide Mohammed took us on a lovely walk through the old Medina where we took a lot of pictures, but we did not go in a mosque, which we thought was included. Due to time restraints we only had an hour for lunch, but our guide did not seem to share this with the restaurant as they seemed in no rush. We then got back into the same van and returned to Tangier’s station. Upon returning we had not received new tickets from anyone and went back to customer service. After 20 minutes of waiting and the train departure time only 15 minutes away I approached a customer service representative and begged for help. She was extremely helpful, but very confused by what had happened to our tickets. She walked us to the train and got us on and told us our seats. When we arrived at our seats the other two members of our tour were in them. After checking with an employee onboard they had definitely been assigned those seats. We then followed this second employee through the entire train trying to find us seats and thankfully he was successful. Upon arriving at Casa Voyeurs in Casablanca we had no idea where to meet our driver, but thankfully one of the other tour participants had been given instructions, so we followed her. We found our driver, and were pleasantly surprised he knew what he was doing and gave us an informative and entertaining drive back to the correct location. All in all this was a very expensive and frustrating day in which we did not feel properly supported by Tripadvisor. I recommend everyone see Chefchaouen, but maybe not with this tour.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We sincerely apologize for the frustration you experienced, especially regarding the pickup address confusion and the inconvenience at the train stations. This is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide. While situations like this are very rare, we always provide our travelers with all the necessary instructions in advance and carefully plan every step of the journey. As reflected in the feedback from many of our previous guests, the trip to Chefchaouen is indeed a long and demanding day, but for travelers with limited time in Morocco, it is often considered a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is well worth it. As the saying goes, "Better late than never," and many guests feel that even with the long journey, the beauty of Chefchaouen makes it worthwhile. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed your time with Mohammed in Chefchaouen and that your return driver made the journey back enjoyable. Your comments about the vehicle, communication, and coordination have been shared with our team for review. We truly appreciate your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much smoother experience in the future

The joy of life - chefouen tour from Casablanca
This was a bit pricey but we'll worth it as a solo traveler.. They took good care of me. Very punctual with hotel pickup.. Clean transportation.. Lunch was at top of restaurant and was a bit of a walk.. Guides were all polite and friendly.. I came to shop and shop I did.. My guide helped with bags.. My only advise is to carry plenty of cash as most stores in small towns want only cash.. Negotiate, negotiate and negotiate for price in this part of the world.. If not satisfied with price walk on someone will give fair price along the way... I enjoyed my trip.. Long day so prepare yourself.. Train ride also clean and smooth ride... Very pleased all around..

Chefchaouen Day trip by High-Speed Train from Casablanca: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Casablanca.
How much does Chefchaouen Day trip by High-Speed Train from Casablanca cost?
+
Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Casablanca usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chefchaouen Day trip by High-Speed Train from Casablanca take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Casablanca is not rushed.
Is Chefchaouen Day trip by High-Speed Train from Casablanca worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 95 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Casablanca, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chefchaouen Day trip by High-Speed Train from Casablanca?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chefchaouen Day trip by High-Speed Train from Casablanca suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 12-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Chefchaouen Day trip by High-Speed Train from Casablanca?
+
Around 33 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Casablanca can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Casablanca and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chefchaouen Day trip by High-Speed Train from Casablanca start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Casablanca within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Casablanca?
+
On Outty we rank every Casablanca experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Casablanca Half-day Guided Tour with Hassan II mosque ticket, Private Guided Tour of Casablanca Including Mosque Entrance, Fez Guided Tour with lunch from Casablanca. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Casablanca?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Casablanca?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
