Amazed and dazed by the tour variety

Amasing attention to small details! Our guide, Max, even stopped to show us a beautiful view of a vineyard before our second scheduled stop. Attention to detail!

    Bad communication, good champagne

This was a solid experience in regards to learning about champagne and getting out to the countryside. Enjoyed seeing new parts of France and learning about champagne. A few gripes. 1: no drop off at hotel 2: I didn’t hear from anyone for days to confirm this trip was even happening. I called and emailed and never heard back. It wasn’t until our driver arrived that I knew with certainty we were actually going on the trip 3. Too long. Should have been shorter.

    Must do

Joel was amazing and the tour was better than we imagined. Great exposure to the champagne region with a bit of history thrown in. Lunch was wonderful, the other guests and Joel made the experience exceptional.

Response from the operator: Dear Tracy, Thank you so much for your lovely review! We are thrilled to hear that Joel helped make the day so enjoyable and that the experience exceeded your expectations. We will be happy to share your kind words with Joel! We love that you enjoyed the mix of Champagne, history, countryside, tastings, and a great lunch. Bringing together the different sides of the region is what makes our tours so special. It sounds like you had a great group, too, which always makes a day in Champagne even more special. Best regards, My WineDays Team

    Great day trip from Paris!

This was a great experience. Well planned day and our host, Romaric, was exceptional with great knowledge of the champagne and wine making process. We were back in the city by 18:30 so still had time to find a great dinner that evening.

Response from the operator: Dear Peter, Thank you for sharing your experience! We are delighted that you had such a great day and that Romaric helped make it both enjoyable and informative. We are glad the timing worked well for you too, leaving you with plenty of time to enjoy your evening in Paris. We will be happy to share your kind words with Romaric! Best regards, My WineDays Team

    Perfect day drinking champagne!

My husband and I did this full day trip from Paris and we loved it! It’s a long day but it was not tiring because you’re not constantly on your feet. It’s actually a very relaxing day (over 4 hours is strictly just driving time from/to Paris). Cedric was our guide and he was awesome! He spoke great English and was super personable and attentive. He communicated to us the day before what time he was picking us up from our hotel (we were 1st at 7:30) and then we proceeded to pick up another group of 4 and were on our way. Cedric had a bag of various flavored fresh croissants and bottled water for breakfast, which was so nice with an early start. I’m sure the route depends on which Champagne houses are open on the day you visit. We first started with Mumm in Reims. Before we went there, we had about 20 minutes to visit the Reims Cathedral, which was a treat and one of the coolest looking Cathedrals we saw while in France for 2 weeks. The tour at Mumm was very in depth and lasted about an hour. Note that it wouldn’t be good for anyone with mobility issues. Mumm was huge! After the tour, we had 1 tasting. Then we proceeded to a family owned champagne house called Domaine Julien Chopin in Monthelon. Part of the fun of the trip was the scenery during your drive. At Julien Chopin, we had a really nice lunch that started with some yummy toast points with duck, then chicken with mushroom sauce and wild rice, and various macaroons for dessert. The chicken was very tender and flavorful. During this, we had 3 variations of champagne or drinks mixed with champagne. The last place we went was a cooperative called Dom Caudron in Passy-Grigny. We did a small tour of the more modern facility and they also had a museum there. Then we tasted 5 different champagnes there. From a timing perspective, we left our hotel at 7:30 and arrived back at the stated dropoff location at 5:00. There were plenty of taxis right there that you could use to get back home if you didn’t want to walk. The hotel pick up was the part that was key, though. It was a really great day and we got to see some pretty countryside and taste a lot of good champagne with a yummy lunch. Cedric was a perfect guide! I would highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Dear Stephanie, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed review! We are delighted that you and your husband enjoyed your day in Champagne and appreciated how smoothly everything was organised from the early hotel pick-up to the central drop-off in Paris. We are especially pleased that Cédric made the experience so enjoyable with his knowledge, attentiveness, and warm personality. We love that you also enjoyed the little touches, such as the fresh croissants and water to start the morning. One of the things we particularly value about our Champagne tours is the variety of experiences throughout the day. From the history of Reims, to a renowned Champagne House, a family-run producer, a cooperative, vineyard landscapes, tastings, and a Champagne-paired lunch, the aim is to give our guests a broad and authentic introduction to the region and its different ways of producing Champagne. We are so happy that you enjoyed this balance of culture, scenery, wine, gastronomy, and relaxed travel. Thank you again for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back to Champagne in the future! Best regards, My WineDays Team

How much does Champagne Day Trip from Paris with 8 Tastings & Lunch cost?

    +

How long does Champagne Day Trip from Paris with 8 Tastings & Lunch take?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 689 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Champagne Day Trip from Paris with 8 Tastings & Lunch?

Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Paris?

    +

The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based), Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

    +

April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paris?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
