Good tour to visit the island

Overall the tour was ok: the guide took us for a walk to show us the temple and the fish market, then took us snorkelling and later we had traditional vietnamese lunch in a beautiful beach. The whole tour and visiting the island was great except for the snorkelling itself: even if the weather was great that day, the water was murky and we could barely see anything, plus it was quite dirty. However this might be because we came in March - end of rainy season - and it rained every day during the previous week. The boat was also too small for the number of people in the tour and for the activity itself, very little space to get changed etc.

OK trip with reservations

Boats are enclosed with around 20 seats unlike the ones shown in the picture. Exhaust fumes in the cabin were bad on the crossing to Cham Island. Local town tour was around 30 mins and moderately engaging. Then moved to lovely beach to get changed and set off for snorkeling. Snorkeling location was OK with reef and some fish however water was quite cloudy due to wind/waves - check weather before booking trip. Only 30 mins for snorkeling. Then back to beach for decent meal in restaurant on back of beach. After lunch 45 mins to go swimming or just laze on beach before catching boat back to Hoi An port. Overall an OK trip, but island is very beautiful and would be much better to stay overnight in homestay and explore island properly.

Perfect half day snorkelling tour

I went on this your only wanting a half day tour with just snorkelling and was exactly what I wanted. There was a short stop at a small village, followed by snorkelling and lunch before heading back to Hoi An for the afternoon. The guide was very friendly and I had a great day!

How many days do you need in Hoi An?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
