Island was great, trip was weird
The boat trip and our experience on the island was generally great. Corals, fish and starfish were good. The trip to get to the boat was strange. As the driver didn't speak English nor used app to translate for us, we had no idea where we stopped, when somehow we stopped at a jem and sculpture shop, which was not in the planned schedule.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent tour to Cham Island. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the boat trip and the beautiful marine life, including the corals, fish, and starfish. We apologize for the confusion during your journey to the boat. The stop at the gem and sculpture shop was made to accommodate some guests who expressed interest in a brief visit. We understand that this was not part of the planned itinerary, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we strive to improve our services. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the future! Best regards,

Beautiful islands , average snorkelling
Boat was indeed fast. Tour guide was pleasant and helpful but did not provide much information about what we were seeing. He spent most of his time counting heads (not a bad thing!). What they don’t tell not tell you is the snorkelling is from the boat not the beach. There are only small ladders to climb up on the back, which I found difficult to do (the younger ones had less difficulty). Visibility was not good. Lunch was pretty good for a remote island. In my view, best thing was time at the beautiful beach at the end of the tour!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback on your tour of Cham Island! We're glad to hear that you found the boat fast and enjoyed the pleasant and helpful nature of our tour guide. We appreciate your comments about the information provided during the tour, and we'll work on ensuring our guides share more insights about the sights. We're sorry to hear that the snorkeling experience didn't meet your expectations, particularly regarding the access from the boat (Speed boat style for snorkeling in Hoi An has designed like that). Your feedback about the visibility and the climbing difficulty will help us improve future tours. It's great to know you enjoyed the lunch and especially the time at the beautiful beach!

Good but room for improvement
The boat trip and lunch were really good. Unfortunately we were not aware that they didn’t not have snorkel equipment for our child so she couldn’t do that part which was really disappointing. This needs to be advertised or advised when booking for children. Then the tour guide tried giving our group of 30 a choice between longer swimming at the beach and visiting a temple- and asked us to make a decision as a group. Which was never going to please everyone. Perhaps next time the guide could make the decision for the group.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent Cham Island tour. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the boat trip and lunch! We sincerely apologize for the oversight regarding the snorkel equipment for your child. We appreciate your suggestion to better communicate this information during the booking process, and we will certainly take this into account to enhance our guests' experience in the future. Regarding the decision-making process during the tour, we understand that it can be challenging to reach a consensus among a large group. We will discuss your feedback with our team to improve how we handle such situations moving forward. Thank you once again for your valuable insights. We hope to welcome you and your family back for another memorable experience! Best regards,

I wouldn’t do this tour again.
The boat ride was fun and spending time on the lovely beach after lunch was nice. Snorkeling was very disappointing , not much to see and there were stingers in the water. Marine museum was also ordinary. Old well was nice to cool down at. Very busy. Lunch was ok, but nothing special. We didn’t receive water as stated in itenary.
Response from the operator: Hi Adriana, Thank you for your feedback, our tour always supply bottled water on boat, Tour guide informed to the Guests where to get it Anyway we also check it and we will learn from this for the next tour. Thank you

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cham Island Trip by Speed Boat including Snorkeling from Hoi An or Da Nang: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.
How much does Cham Island Trip by Speed Boat including Snorkeling from Hoi An or Da Nang cost?
+
Prices start at $23 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cham Island Trip by Speed Boat including Snorkeling from Hoi An or Da Nang take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.
Is Cham Island Trip by Speed Boat including Snorkeling from Hoi An or Da Nang worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.6/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cham Island Trip by Speed Boat including Snorkeling from Hoi An or Da Nang?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cham Island Trip by Speed Boat including Snorkeling from Hoi An or Da Nang suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Cham Island Trip by Speed Boat including Snorkeling from Hoi An or Da Nang?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cham Island Trip by Speed Boat including Snorkeling from Hoi An or Da Nang start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hoi An?
+
On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hoi An?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hoi An?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
