Best experience in Venice! Thank you Daniela!

This was a phenomenal experience! Daniela was just fantastic and a highlight of our trip to Italy. It was my daughter’s birthday the next day and Daniela was kind enough to bake a birthday cake and get candles so we could sing to her. We were traveling home the next day and getting in too late to celebrate at home. This meant so much to me. Sofia, the girl who helped translate, was a delight as well! We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would recommend Daniela to everyone!

    Bad Taste In Our Mouths.

One thing I dislike is writing a bad review. Sometimes, I feel that the reviewer is trying to get even for something that happened. Unfortunately, this was the worst experience that my wife and I have experienced in all our travels. The experience we signed up for included a little bit of instruction and showing how to cook a true venetian style meal as well as an apron and Cesarine shopping bag. The instruction consisted of being shown and making 12 pieces of pasta, the rest was pre-made. The cooking was done in a closed off kitchen where we could not see anything. The wine included was Prosecco which the cook/hostess partook of too. Overall, the meal was not bad. However, the pasta and meatballs were both mushy and tasteless. The host told us how she had placed in the Tiramisu finals and had made us that dish for dessert. We aren't sure where she competed; but both of us have experienced far better Tiramisu in average restaurants back home. Every other meal we had during our stay in Venice was better by huge margins than this. The sad part was that it cost us more than twice as much as going to a five star restaurant. There are so many things to do and experience in Venice that I would say to skip this one. It is too bad because there are several Cesarines in Venice that are probably very good. The one we had is not!

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We are truly sorry to read that this experience did not meet your expectations, especially during what should have been a special time in Venice. Our classes are designed to be hands-on and transparent, so we regret that you felt limited in your participation and unable to fully follow the cooking process. This is certainly not the spirit we aim to create. We are also sorry that some of the dishes did not meet your taste expectations and that the overall value did not feel aligned with the price paid. Your feedback is very important and will be shared internally to carefully review the experience offered. We sincerely regret the disappointment and appreciate your honest comments.

    Beautiful Italian meal

The highlight of our trip to Italy! Giulia was an amazing host and teacher. We can’t wait to make fresh pasta at home! We sat together and enjoyed the meal we helped prepare. Highly recommended this experience

    Highlight of 2-weeks in Italy

Our dinner with Matilde was the highlight of our 2-week trip in Italy. Not only was the meal absolutely delicious, it was a delight to get to know Matilde, a local Venetian, and learn more about what it's like to live in Venice. At first I was hesitant about having to go to Lido, but that actually turned out to enhance the experience by getting us out of the crowded and hectic city and into the quiet and relaxing area of Lido. I definitely recommend Cesarine.

Cesarine: Venice Show Cooking & Dining Experience at Local's Home: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.

How much does Cesarine: Venice Show Cooking & Dining Experience at Local's Home cost?

    +

Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cesarine: Venice Show Cooking & Dining Experience at Local's Home take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.

Is Cesarine: Venice Show Cooking & Dining Experience at Local's Home worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cesarine: Venice Show Cooking & Dining Experience at Local's Home?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cesarine: Venice Show Cooking & Dining Experience at Local's Home suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cesarine: Venice Show Cooking & Dining Experience at Local's Home?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cesarine: Venice Show Cooking & Dining Experience at Local's Home start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Venice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Venice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Venice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
