Easy and stress-free transfer from Piazza San Marco to Viking cruise at Chioggia port.
The water taxi driver messaged me on WhatsApp to let us know his name and boat number shortly before the meeting time. We stood up in the back section of the boat for great views as we transitioned from the Grand Canal to a smaller canal and then the dock. The limo driver was waiting on the dock and it was a short walk to a very comfortable vehicle. He made a stop midway at a gas station for a restroom break and we were at the Viking cruise luggage drop off point before we knew it. Very easy and stress-free. The organizer responds right away when messaged on Viator with questions. Be sure to have WhatsApp connected to the phone number you registered with to get live updates when the water taxi driver is on his way.

First class transport in Venice.
Absolutely first class. We came during Carnivale and we were worried it would be challenging, They were there and waiting for us at the airport and made everything so easy. Such a great private boat ride to our hotel and back. Thank you!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Adam! We are delighted to hear that your private transfer experience in Venice exceeded your expectations, especially during Carnival — one of the busiest and most vibrant times of the year in the city. We completely understand the concern of traveling during such a high-demand period, and our team works hard to ensure that every guest enjoys a smooth, stress-free airport pickup and private water taxi service, no matter the occasion. Knowing that our driver was there waiting for you at the airport and that your private boat ride to and from your hotel made your Venice experience truly seamless means everything to us. It was an absolute pleasure serving you, and we hope to welcome you back for another first-class private transfer in Venice — whether during Carnival or any other time of year. Thank you for choosing us and for taking the time to share your experience!

I appreciated the most was having the driver’s number — it made everything feel safe and organised
I booked a transfer from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Chioggia and it turned out to be a lot easier than I expected. After landing, the driver texted me right away, so I didn’t have that classic “where do I go now?” moment. He found us at arrivals, helped with all our bags (we had more than planned…) and made us feel relaxed after the flight. The car was clean, warm and comfortable, and the ride to Chioggia was smooth even with evening traffic. What I appreciated the most was having the driver’s number — it made everything feel safe and organised, especially after a long travel day. If you need a private transfer from Venice Airport to Chioggia, this is exactly the kind of service that takes all the stress out of the trip.

Why this scores 49
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Chioggia Port from Venice Private Transfer and Water Taxi: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.
How much does Chioggia Port from Venice Private Transfer and Water Taxi cost?
+
Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chioggia Port from Venice Private Transfer and Water Taxi take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.
Is Chioggia Port from Venice Private Transfer and Water Taxi worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chioggia Port from Venice Private Transfer and Water Taxi?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chioggia Port from Venice Private Transfer and Water Taxi suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Chioggia Port from Venice Private Transfer and Water Taxi?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chioggia Port from Venice Private Transfer and Water Taxi start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Venice?
+
On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Venice?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Venice?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
