Duomo di Monreale - Cattedrale di Monreale
The Cathedral represents the apotheosis of Norman architecture in Sicily. Featuring the cathedral with its splendid mosaics from the 12th century, it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Arab Norman Period, built under William II. It rivals Saint Sophia in Istanbul and Saint Mark's in Venice in its use of decorative mosaics. While it is Romanesque style largely, the cathedral combines aspects of Arab, Byzantine and Norman architecture.

A true guide and a great day.
This was an amazing tour. Most of the so called tours here are actually just transportation. My guide gave me a guided tour of the cathedral in Monreale. He also walked around with me a little bit in Cefalu and then gave me time on my own. He was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and actually a fun person to spend the day with. I would book again in a heartbeat. It was worth every penny.
Response from the operator: Thank you for enjoying our services at Mimmo Sicily Tours.

Cefalu and Monreale Day Trip
We had a lovely day visiting Cefalu followed by Monreale with it's amazing cathedral. Domenico is a very knowledgeable and articulate guide as well as a very safe and skillful driver. We felt very comfortable traveling with him. He shared a wealth of information about both Cefalu and Monreale and directed us to a restaurant in Monreale where lunch was one of the best meals of our trip. Domenico was also patient and considerate of my husband's problem navigating a lot of stairs and offered alternative routes whenever possible. We highly recommen him.
Response from the operator: Hope to help you again visiting other places in Sicily with our Guide Driver Team.

Tourin Sicily with Mimmo
My husband and I, together with a friend, spent 2 wonderful days with our personal Guide Mimmo, the magnificent. We visited the Valley of Temples and were fascinated by Mimmo’s knowledge and insights. He quickly assessed our interested and personalized the tours just for us. The second tour we took with Mimmo was to Cefalu and Monreale. Although we had been to Monreale before we saw the beautiful mosaics through Mimmo’s eyes. When Mimmo realized we were foodies he arranged a special luncheon to an agriturismo in the country. We never would have found this hidden gem without him. If you want to see the real Sicily contact Mimmo.
Response from the operator: What a pleasure to have people with such a deep interest in culture, art, history and food !! Hope to show you more of Sicily with your guide driver. Thank you. Mimmo

How long does CEFALU' and MONREALE Private Tour with Guide Driver starts from Palermo take?
+

Is CEFALU' and MONREALE Private Tour with Guide Driver starts from Palermo worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Palermo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule CEFALU' and MONREALE Private Tour with Guide Driver starts from Palermo?
+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book CEFALU' and MONREALE Private Tour with Guide Driver starts from Palermo?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Palermo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Palermo and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Palermo?
+
On Outty we rank every Palermo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Palermo Pizza & Gelato Cooking Class with Meal & Wine, Palermo Food Tour: 10+ Tastings of Arancini, Cannoli, Wine & More, Palermo Sicilian Street Food Tour: Small Group by Do Eat Better. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Palermo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Palermo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
