A must do while in Palermo

Alice and Franchesco were fabulous host. The market visit was very informative. They invited us into their beautiful home and gave us a wonderful history and delicious taste of Sicilian cuisine.

Amazing food and sights!

We had an incredible time with Cesarina Maria Giulia in Palermo. Me and my husband were here on a Mediterranean cruise visiting the area and despite the rain during our walk to the old market, the excursion was delightful. Maria’s warm welcome and her expertise in selecting fresh supplies at the market made the experience memorable. The authentic Sicilian dishes she prepared at her home exceeded our expectations; it was absolutely delicious. We truly appreciated the sights, the warmth of her home, and her hospitality throughout the entire experience. Highly recommended!

A great experience while in Palermo.

Most excellent experience. Rosa took me on a tour of the farmers market. We sampled local rasâtes and she helped identity the produce I was unfamiliar with. As we walked, she selected fresh food for our lunch. We went to her apartment and she gave me an apron and my cooking experience began. I made tiramisu and fresh- pasta (mine wasn’t perfect😁). She made a delicious sauce. Rosa made appetizers with her specialty cocktail Her husband, Fabio came home for lunch and he approved of the cooking (whew) Good food, laughter and more food. Rosa is a generous host and a fun teacher. This experience is a must do when in Palermo, as I posted on TripAdvisor.

One of the Best Ever!

We have experienced cooking classes and food tasting all over the world. None were better than our tasting in Palermo. The food was superb and our Cesarina was wonderful. There is nothing better than having a Cesarina who dedicates her full attention and personal attention to your food desires and tastes.

Is Cesarine: Market Tour & Dining at a Local's Home in Palermo worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Palermo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cesarine: Market Tour & Dining at a Local's Home in Palermo?

+

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cesarine: Market Tour & Dining at a Local's Home in Palermo?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Palermo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Palermo and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cesarine: Market Tour & Dining at a Local's Home in Palermo start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Palermo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Palermo?

+

On Outty we rank every Palermo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Palermo Pizza & Gelato Cooking Class with Meal & Wine, Palermo Food Tour: 10+ Tastings of Arancini, Cannoli, Wine & More, Palermo Sicilian Street Food Tour: Small Group by Do Eat Better. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Palermo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Palermo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
