Our guide, Ester, was meticulous and a great communicator. You are on your own in the caves and keep in mind that the line for crossing the underground lake in a boat is very long; you may not have time for much after that, so, I'd recommend just crossing the bridge. And you do get the option of going to the Majorca pearl factory shop - or simply having a bite on the terrace and trying to spot Rafa Nadal's super yacht in the marina of Porto Cristo.

Unique experience however too many people for me
Such a unique experience and defo worth to do it at least once. The tour guide Esther was really informative and just had a lovely bubbly personality which added to the experience. Negatives was the pick up information sent on the day of the trip was completely incorrect. Lucky we kind of followed the crowd and looked for the company logo on the bus as the email stated a completly different bus number to look out for and said white double decker when in fact it was grey. We also didn't realise there would be a good few hundred other people with you (not just the 60/70) people on your coach) walking through at the same time which I felt was too much and abit overcrowded especially as you first walk in it can feel abit claustrophobic.

Caves experience
We were on a double decker bus with 90 other people. So it’s not an intimate experience. They essentially take you to the caves and bring you back so really a no-frills excursion which is the name of the company. The main thing to note is that there is no bathroom at the meeting point so make sure you don’t need to go because your first rest stop is the caves location 1 hour away. The lining up for the boat was chaotic - sitting on the left side of the theatre facing the water will be best for lining up. It took maybe 30-45 min wait to get on the boat ride at the end after the performance. It’s a short boat ride but worth the experience because you have enough time to do it. The caves are huge. If you have the opportunity to drive there yourself, then you can avoid visiting the caves and enjoying the show at the end with 300 other people.

Horrible, terrible experience
There was no communication on pickup, I sent an email to enquire about the pick up point, no one replied, I found my way to one of the 2 pickup points on the website, nobody showed up. I tried to call, I got no response, could not even leave a voice message. I lost my money … Terrible all round. I want my money back.

Every confirmed booking receives a voucher specifying the meeting point, pickup time and location map, together with contact details including WhatsApp and email. More than 50 guests regularly join this excursion using these same pickup instructions, and the tour operated normally on the day in question. We therefore cannot agree with the impression that guests are simply left without pickup information. When booking through an online platform, it is essential to check the meeting point stated on the confirmed voucher rather than choosing between locations found elsewhere on a website. Our WhatsApp details are also provided precisely so that guests can contact us if they are unsure before departure. We genuinely regret that you missed the excursion. However, a missed departure does not mean that the excursion itself failed to operate, and it is unfortunate that a review titled “Horrible, terrible experience” gives future travellers an impression of a Caves of Drach experience that, in this case, was never actually taken.
