    Stingrays and Clear Blue Water

So much fun and our tour guides were so friendll, helpful, and fun! The water at the sandbar is crystal clear and the most beautiful blue. Stingrays were swimming by us the whole time. I will definitely book this one again!

Response from the operator: Dear Geneva, Thank you for your review! We are so glad to hear that the crystal clear blue waters, the stingrays, and the friendly and fun Guides made your Catamaran Snorkeling to El Cielo and The Money Bar Beach Club with Top Cozumel Tours such a memorable experience. Having stingrays swimming alongside you at the sandbar is truly one of those magical Cozumel moments that stays with you long after the trip is over! Knowing you will definitely book again means everything to us — we cannot wait to welcome you back! Warm regards, JS Tours Experiences

    Not as advertised

We did not go to either reef, El Cielo or Palancar, as advertised. We saw very few fish at the 3 snorkel stops they took us to instead. Even though we did not go to the National Marine Park, they still charged us a $13 per person fee. We also did not get dropped back off at The Money Bar, like it said in the description. Without any explanation or communication to us that we would not be getting dropped back off at our starting location, we found ourselves being dropped off back at a marina and we had no idea how to get back to our car at The Money Bar. We then had to find a taxi & pay another $12 for a taxi to take us back to our car. The crew was nice, that was the only thing good about the excursion.

Response from the operator: Dear Trisha, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and confusion you encountered on the day of your tour. Let us address each point with full transparency. Regarding El Cielo and the snorkel sites, as stated in our tour's Additional Info section, weather conditions can occasionally require us to take an alternative route. On the day of your visit strong winds made access to El Cielo unsafe, a decision made by the Harbor Master of Cozumel whose authority over vessel safety is absolute and non-negotiable. Our Crew always prioritizes the safety of every Guest on board above all else. The three alternative snorkel sites visited — the reefs of Dzul Ha-Paraíso, Cardona, and San Francisco — are beautiful and well established reef systems that we are proud to offer as alternatives. Regarding the National Marine Park fee, we want to clarify that the Cozumel National Marine Park encompasses a large protected area of the island's reefs — not exclusively El Cielo. The reefs of Dzul Ha-Paraíso, Cardona, and San Francisco that you visited that day are all located within the boundaries of the National Marine Park, which is why the fee applied. Regarding the drop-off location, this is where we owe you our most sincere apology. Due to strong surge and swells affecting the pier at The Money Bar that day, docking there was not safe and we were forced to return to the marina instead. While this was beyond our control, we fully acknowledge that our Crew failed to communicate this change clearly to you and failed to provide a transportation solution back to The Money Bar so you could retrieve your car. That should never have happened and we are truly sorry for the stress and inconvenience this caused. As a gesture of accountability we will be refunding the $12.00 US you paid for the taxi. We are glad to hear that our Crew's kindness came through despite a difficult day, and we hope you will give us the opportunity to show you in the furture the kind of experience that JS Tours is truly known for. Warm regards, JS Tours

    Good time

We had a good time but we could have had a little more snorkel time. It was a laid back Tour, it could have been a bit more up beat. And we wish we're able to reapply sunscreen. It is good for family with children.

Response from the operator: Dear Shannon, Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We are glad to hear you had a good time on the Catamaran Snorkeling to El Cielo and The Money Bar Beach Club with JS Tours and that it was a great fit for your Family. We appreciate your honest feedback regarding the snorkel time and atmosphere — these are valuable notes that help us continue to improve the experience for our Guests. Regarding sunscreen, we completely understand the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. This restriction is in place to protect the fragile coral reefs and marine ecosystem of Cozumel, which are among the most precious natural treasures in the Caribbean, that is why we suggest to bring long sleeve clothing and hats. By limiting chemical sunscreen use we are doing our part to preserve these incredible reefs for generations to come — and we truly appreciate every Guest who supports that effort. We hope to welcome your Family back for another great day on the water in Cozumel soon! Warm regards, JS Tours

Very enjoyable day on the water.

Crew was very attentive and the water was beautiful. Snacks on the sandbar off a surfboard. Great few hours on the water.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your review, Jacquie! We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed such a relaxing and enjoyable day on the water. It’s great to know that the Crew’s attentiveness, the beautiful conditions, and the time spent at the sandbar all came together to create a memorable experience. Serving snacks right on the water is always a fun touch, and we’re glad it added to those few special hours out at sea. Thank you for choosing JS Tours and for sharing your experience. We’d be delighted to welcome you back for another great day on the water during a future visit to Cozumel. Best regards, The JS Tours Team

A fun adventure on an older catamaran

The boat is old, but the staff was great. We had a group of 20, with the boat all to ourselves. They guided the snorkeling and saw a variety of fish. Standing in the beautiful shallow water was a highlight as they served great margaritas and cervesa along with wonderful ceviche and chips.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us, Jan! We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed a fun adventure and that having our catamaran to yourselves made the day even more special. While the boat has plenty of character, we’re happy to know that our Crew and their attentive service truly stood out and helped create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the tour. It’s great to hear that the guided snorkeling allowed you to see a variety of fish and that the time spent in the shallow, crystal-clear waters became a highlight of your day. Enjoying margaritas, cold beers, and freshly prepared ceviche while standing in the water is definitely one of those classic El Cielo moments we love to share with our Guests. Thank you for choosing JS Tours and for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’d be happy to welcome you back for another memorable day on the water the next time you visit Cozumel. Best regards, The JS Tours Team

Catamaran Snorkeling to El Cielo and The Money Bar Beach Club: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.

How much does Catamaran Snorkeling to El Cielo and The Money Bar Beach Club cost?

    +

Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Catamaran Snorkeling to El Cielo and The Money Bar Beach Club take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.

Is Catamaran Snorkeling to El Cielo and The Money Bar Beach Club worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Catamaran Snorkeling to El Cielo and The Money Bar Beach Club?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Catamaran Snorkeling to El Cielo and The Money Bar Beach Club suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Catamaran Snorkeling to El Cielo and The Money Bar Beach Club?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Catamaran Snorkeling to El Cielo and The Money Bar Beach Club start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cozumel?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cozumel?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cozumel?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
