    Cancelled without reason

Trip got cancelled without reason or explanation. No alternative date offered, not a word. Dissappointing!

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, We are sorry to read your review, but we must correct one important point: **the reason for the cancellation was clearly communicated to you at the time.** Your excursion was cancelled due to an **official weather alert and adverse weather conditions**. As explained in our cancellation message, for safety reasons we cannot operate an excursion when weather conditions may put our guests or our drivers at risk. We therefore cannot agree with the statement that the trip was cancelled “without reason or explanation.” The reason was clearly provided to you when the cancellation was made. Regarding an alternative date, unfortunately weather-related cancellations do not always allow us to offer another departure, particularly depending on availability and the remaining duration of a guest’s stay. We fully understand that a cancellation is disappointing, especially during a holiday. However, **the safety of our guests and our drivers must always come before operating an excursion**, and an official weather alert is something entirely beyond our control. Kind regards,

    Perfect, relaxing tour with children!

This was a highlight for my family! My children (14, 12, 10) all loved their time on the boat and swimming! I was a little worried about my youngest getting sick on the boat-and he did not! The crew was great-we also had a driver who took us to the marina, which made things much easier than trying to figure out transportation to get there. It was the perfect relaxing morning to end our stay in Nice!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that your boat trip was a highlight of your family’s stay in Nice, and especially that all three of your children enjoyed the experience and swimming. We’re also delighted to hear that your youngest had a great time and felt comfortable on board! It’s wonderful to know that our crew helped make the morning special and that the private transfer to the marina made everything easier and more convenient for your family. We truly appreciate your kind words and are so happy that you chose to spend your last morning in Nice with us. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming your family back to the French Riviera in the future!

Not a private boat - Decent experience

HONEST REVIEW. PLEASE READ. The experience itself is very good. Anytime I book a boat ride in Europe, it never fails. However, I wish the prompt was more clear that this is NOT a private boat. I thought I was booking a private boat and same with the other people on board. The other thing is, there were too many people in the boat to comfortably sit and not have to worry that your original seat is taken. I wish it was also specific on either family oriented or adults only. Unfortunately there were alot of small kids just being kids. And how I mentioned, I thought it was a private boat so it was meant to be a peaceful and romantic boat ride with my boat.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback. We are sorry to learn that the experience was different from what you expected. We completely understand your disappointment if you believed you had booked a private boat. However, this excursion is clearly advertised as a shared catamaran cruise, not as a private charter. Regarding the number of passengers, the maximum number of guests on board is clearly stated in the activity description. In addition, the photos of the catamaran shown in the listing accurately reflect the actual boat and its usual level of occupancy. The boat operates within its authorized capacity and in full compliance with safety regulations. As with most shared cruises, guests are free to move around the catamaran during the trip to enjoy different views. As for the presence of children, this excursion is open to everyone and is not advertised as an adults-only experience. Families with children are therefore welcome on board, especially during the summer season. We sincerely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us better understand our guests' expectations and continue improving the clarity of our descriptions. Thank you again for choosing us. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back on another experience that better matches the atmosphere you were looking for. Kind regards,

    A perfect summer day.

Our captain & crew were friendly and knowledgeable. You cannot have alcohol on the boat and you need to bring your own beverages for the half day excursion. We anchored at a beautiful spot. Pool noodles, masks and snorkels are provided for those who want them. It was a beautiful way to spend a perfect day.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your excursion and appreciated the friendliness and knowledge of our captain and crew. It's wonderful to know that you had the opportunity to relax at such a beautiful anchorage and make the most of the snorkeling equipment provided on board. Thank you as well for mentioning the practical information regarding beverages. While alcoholic beverages brought by guests are permitted on board, we are pleased to offer complimentary punch and a selection of soft drinks during the excursion to ensure everyone can enjoy a refreshing experience. We truly appreciate your kind feedback and hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable experience on the French Riviera. Kind regards, The Smartour Riviera Team

Catamaran cruise on the French Riviera in a small group: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nice.

How much does Catamaran cruise on the French Riviera in a small group cost?

    +

Prices start at $211 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Catamaran cruise on the French Riviera in a small group take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nice is not rushed.

Is Catamaran cruise on the French Riviera in a small group worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Catamaran cruise on the French Riviera in a small group?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Catamaran cruise on the French Riviera in a small group suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Catamaran cruise on the French Riviera in a small group?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nice and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Catamaran cruise on the French Riviera in a small group start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Nice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include ★ Walking Tour of Old Nice and Castle Hill, NO DIET CLUB - Unique Local Food in Nice !, Nice City Segway Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
