Buyer beware

No AC in the vehicle for 3 hours going to the tour. Vehicle broke down as well and we lost time that wasn’t made up. Coming back, they said they weren’t able to fix the vehicle today so no AC again in 90 degree weather with 85% humidity. People looked like they were going to pass out. Wasn’t able to snorkel as they didn’t have enough gear so I missed the only part of the experience I went for. I asked for one and he said they ran out. Oh yeah, they didn’t have enough life vests for the whole group either. The ones they had were smelly and full of mold or mildew. Someone asked for a clean one and was told that this is the way it is with the weather. Driver drove with the sliding door wide open in a van which was very dangerous. The fee was double what most tours for the same experience cost so I expected a bit more but I guess that’s on me. Their idea of drinks consisted of two premixed drinks and beer. $12 extra for pina coladas. Safety seemed to be of zero concern at any point of the experience. Do not recommend.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. We sincerely regret that you were unable to fully enjoy your excursion and appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. Your feedback helps us improve the experiences we offer. Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Catalina Island Snorkeling Tour from Punta Cana cost?

How long does Catalina Island Snorkeling Tour from Punta Cana take?

+

Is Catalina Island Snorkeling Tour from Punta Cana worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (1/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Catalina Island Snorkeling Tour from Punta Cana?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Catalina Island Snorkeling Tour from Punta Cana suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Catalina Island Snorkeling Tour from Punta Cana?

+

Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Catalina Island Snorkeling Tour from Punta Cana start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

+

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
